ian, what's the purpose of the 'redirect.cfm'? and could you add some javascript to have a new window opened on links?

iwz Oct 17, 2002

oh, the redirect.cfm keeps track of how many clicks there were for the link. i don't normally use it, but i copied and pasted the url from the Links box on the homepage, and it was already in there...

thanks. it'll save me from all my 'right-click, open in new window' mouse action

iwz iwz

just hold down SHIFT and click...

sux2beme sux2bemeOG 2002

that would require me to use both hands...

iwz iwz

haha, i'm not even touching that one

i was thinking about my answer during tonight's meeting. we had a local needs part. for the introduction, the speaker talked about diets and weight loss regimens, and asked why people don't lose weight. anyway, one person answered how our society is so lazy with our garage door openers and our remote controls. then i'm thinking, ha, and i'm too lazy to use my left hand while i'm surfing...lol

actually, i'm usually leaning on my left hand while i'm surfing, so it's just inconvienent. another shortcut i learned is that you can hold the shift key and roll the scroll button on the mouse to move backwards and fowards thru the browser. again, i don't use that too much because i'm busy leaning...

so yo have so many fat people in your hall they had a local needs on dieting?

that's rough.

(no offense to above-average weighted people)

sux2beme sux2bemeOG 2002

awww, that's kinda rough!

actually, does anyone want to guess what the part was about, with the above intro?

Was it about staying healthy (esp. pioneers) and eating healthy, getting good sleep, etc. We've had that speech by a CO a couple of times

sux2beme sux2bemeOG 2002

nope.

that could work for pioneers, but i don't think that would go over as a local needs talk.

iwz iwz

meeting attendance?

sux2beme sux2bemeOG 2002

the talk was about sticking to our spiritual diet. especially, he connected it with having a physical trainer. he/she may give you a routine:

ok, you need to get up at 6:30a. do 10 situps. go out and jog for one mile. drink OJ and dry toast for breakfast (no bacon and eggs). after work, no beer. 10 more situps. jog 20 mins. on treadmill.

what would happen if you decided: well, i'll do the situps, but i'll only jog 1/2 mile. i'll drink the oj, but i'm still eating the bacon. and when i get home, i'll jog 15 mins, and i'm still having my beer...

the point was that if the elders give you suggestions to help you, stick to the prescribed routine. it's from Jehovah. and if we think we can change a routine coming from Jehovah, and expect good results, we better think again.
