I like the fact that the Bible reading (#2 talk) is JUST a reading... ni comments or anything.. just read the material. Also the speech quality talk is a great improvement and the Instruction Talk is 10 minutes with no questions or review... oh, and private counsel to be given takes a big load off my shoulders, since I'm an assistant school conductor in my congregation...
how do you figure the private counselling is different? there's still one minute counseling for #2-#4, and the private counselling for the other talks have always been suggested...
Yeah, I guess I need to clarify... the current counselling for talks 2 - 4 is 2 minutes, tops. The new arrangement promotes more of a private counselling of the points with the student. You can't do much but say "Nice work on that point, your next counsel point is *such and such*" in a minute... it relieves me of a lot of stress trying to tactfully give some meaty counsel in that 2 minutes.
how are the other students (i.e. the audience) going to benefit if you purposely avoid giving 'meaty counsel'?
sigh.... we'll just have to wait and see how it goes after January 1...
you know what i'm looking forward to ...no more written review...or the Rotten Review, as we call it in my hall (i'm kidding. we don't really call it that in my hall. just me.)
yeah, i forgot about that part...just an oral review. and it looks like we still have talks those weeks.
