Did you try and take cooking class instead of wood shop too only for the teacher to kick you out cause you were a boy?
i had cooking class like 4 years in a row.
the teacher name was MRS. FOTIE.
cooking class was great. i think one year i had it twice.
once in the morning for breakfast and once in the after noon.
