I love the Pete Yorn album Music For The Morning After. I don't know if I relate to a lot of it, but if I were to do a soundtrack to my life, I'd DEFINITELY do in Pete's style. Amazing stuff. I'll give you some lyrical excerpts. It's about to get REEAAL emo up in this piece.
Black: "waiting for a bottle of truth. i'm just a lonely guy in my youth. and waiting for you is all i want to do. so if you couldn't stop, you're sitting all by yourself, you will never try to argue anyone, you will never stop and see what you're dong to me."
Lose You: "i'm taking a ride off to one side. it is a personal thing. where? where i can stand up in this cage i'm not regretting. i don't need a better thing, i'd settle for less. it's another thing for me. i'll just have to wander through this world. alone."
For Nancy: and when you said i could not stay with you. thats not the way you would have wanted it to be. convince yourself that everything is all right, coz it already is.
Murry: and we both know that people change, and truth's not part of their lives. still i've seen the love in their eyes. don't say goodbye. goodbye.
On Your Side: i'm outside your house. it's 2 am. it's dark. so many mistakes came back home from bars. i'm on your side, i just want to tell you off
EZ: "it was easy when you were younger, you could put it back together. it was there if you ever wanted it, but you closed the door, and said goodbye for good."
