I tend to have my foot in several different social circles. I have SO many different interests that it has to be that way for me. One thing that is a must is quality friends tho, which can't always be found in your immediate proximity. So, I too have friends all over the place. Sometimes that sucks but I really don't mind traveling for the company of good friends, it's priceless and very important to me especially at this time in my life. So yea.. and I hate when people complain that they have no friends. Widening out means YOU have to take the initiative. You have to at least meet them halfway and sometimes you have to put forth more effort than the other person.
YES YES ! Very good. There is a difference in people you just know in contrast with people you can really get to know.
It can be frustrating to reach out to people that aren't willing to open up AT ALL
sometimes it isn't unwillingness to open up. it can be shyness and even envy of those who are outgoing because they wish they could be like that. unfortunately they can't get past that little thing in their brain that gets them to walk over and start a conversation.
