When i was cool: My life at the Jack Kerouac school of disembodied poetry by Sam Kashner. a biography of a guy who became the only student at the beats poets college before it was accredited. classes were typing allen ginsberg's poems. trying to keep gregory corso from doing drugs. assignements on life rather than reports. good book. very sad at the end in how all of them die. just cuz they were old men but like still so alive. if you're really interested in beat poetry its a good book but i doubt other people would be so intruiged by it as i was.
