I'm currently reading "State of Fear" by Michael Crichton - last week I read "3rd Degree" by James Patterson and the week before that I read "Someone Comes to Town, Someone Leaves Town" by Cory Doctorow.
State of Fear is definitely the best of the 3 - all Michael Crichton's books are excellent (well except "A Case of Need"). This one has to do with things we learn from the media that are not true - in this case, Global Warming, and how things really havne't gotten hotter at all - the media is just hyping everything up. Definitely excellent reading.
For those who are geeky (like me) i'm reading it on my Treo using an E-Book reader - the book I got from the New York Public Library's online database, using Adam Pepitone's library card. Thanks Adam! (PS - with the NY public library's online books, you can't return things late, they are automatically deleted after 21 days.)
i want to read that. haven't picked up a Crichton book since . . . well, the one before Timeline. but THIS book looks neat. i DID read the afterward in the book store. looks good. MC has a way of explaining technical things in way that doesn't make you feel dumb.
