I found a flaw... with preventative medicine!
In my case... I was worried about, falling into the wrong crowd, or even just plain being rejected.
I took some preventative action by cutting off all ties.
BUT I cut off all of it, the good, up-building association with the bad(Unknown).
Now I would feel like an idiot, eating crow, tail between my legs, come crawling back.

I've heard that before. It means don't get ahead of yourself; the bathwater is dirty, but don't throw the baby away with it, take your time.
I don't think it's Canadian. I've heard it many times before.
