ok so i'm a mets fan and all, but i was at the gym last night and i was REALLY enjoying the yankee game - i caught myself in the mirror with an extremely interested look on my face ...
HA, and people wonder why yankee fans are booing their own..now here's the next questions, why did Awod make it to the all star game??
I was talking about this year being mediocre, sorry should have verified that. I was just saying, when a team invests 26,000.00 in you, you need to be above average. Like Crede's salary with the White sox is 400,000. And his average is higher, and has the same HR and RBIs as Awod. Another example, David Wright. His average, HR, and RBIS are way better then Awod and his salary is only $322,000. But in the past, yes he was a solid player. he just doesn't have it this year.
Yeah but those guys are much younger and haven't reached the free agent years yet. You have to have a tour of duty making little before you make the bucks.
A-Rods overall numbers are great.
AVG- .282
HR- 20
RBI- 68
OBP- .388
He's on pace to hit 35-40 homers and well over 100 RBI's. That's not mediocre at all. Lets also remember he is the youngest player ever to hit as many HRs as he has. He'll have about 500 before the age of 32. A-Rod is just not built for NY. He can't hit in the clutch consistently.
True very true. But while those overall numbers are great, they aren't "good enough" for yankees. Lets just say, to be playing for the yankees he's mediocre. How's that?
That's ridiculous. He'll end up with better numbers than anyone else on the team. What does he have to hit 58HR and 160RBI to meet Yankee standards? That's a joke. Those numbers are almost impossible to acheive every year.
This is why the rest of baseball fans think Yankee fans are crack-heads.
since everyone is wondering...why do you call A-rod "awod". Are you elmer-fudding it?
BTW, have you watched Stella or more Arrested Development yet?
haha, because he's a wod.
ohhh, yes, i have arrested development on dvd, i watch it like every day.
Every other team in baseball would take a player like that. He's the best all-around player in the game. He's a better SS than the Yankee captain. He moved because he wanted to win. I give him credit for that. Yankee fans are just ridiculous and have ridiculous standards. I've watched David Wright botch a few balls in one game too. He's still a great player. Yankee fans need to check back in to reality.
wow, it's ok, didn't mean for you to get so worked up over this whole thing.
lol, yeah, chill, bro.
hey todd, did you see the arrested development when instead of army training, buster plays the crane game all day? and then he comes home and is like "these are my trophies from army. the gorilla is for sandracing and the seal is for marksmanship." HAHAHAHA.
LOL. Wait till you see how those things are worked in later! HILARIOUS. This show is amazing.
I just get sick of hearing Yankee fans say his stats aren't good enough for a Yankee. I hear it too much. Look at Scott Brosius during the Championship run. He never had great numbers, but he came up with big hits in the clutch. That's the only difference. He was never a great player. He just meshed well with the team they had at that time. If people want to say he doesn't mix well with this team, that I can understand. But...You can't say he's having a mediocre year because he really isn't.
i'm not even a yankees fan, i hate the yankees. so, i say he's having a mediocre year, who cares? just my opinion. i also think its ridiculous how yankees try to buy their championships, but who cares what i think? you don't have to get worked up over it. its ok, don't let it bother you.
