I remember seeing a play similar to the second story but it was with Soriano (I think) running into second from first. This is when he was still in pinstripes. The ball hit him square in the face, I cringe every time I think about it.

I think of funny plays I remember Canseco, when he was with the A's, running back to catch a fly ball and as he jumped the ball bounced off his head and over the fence, home run.
