I use etrade.com
I haven't traded on other sites, so I don't know how to compare and contrast.
But, I don't see myself leaving etrade. I like the layout. And basically anything can be done on it. Stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. So far, I've only done individual stock trading on etrade though. I like the fact that you don't have to talk to a broker over the phone. Before joining etrade, I never did individual stock trading before. Only had a mutual fund through a terrestial broker. After I got out of the mutual fund. I decided to start doing individual stocks, so I decided to open an etrade account. If I was dealing with a terrestial broker now, I probably wouldn't trade as actively, as I do having an online account. But, doing this online, I closely monitor everything, when I log in etrade. Which you can do with any one that's online... but, I couldn't see trying out another company, because I know my way around etrade.
Recently the layout has changed a little, and when I saw it, I got a little thrown off.
But, it didn't take long to learn where everything was with the updated layout.
Why did you ask this question though.. you have something against etrade? haha
no, just trying to see my online stock trading options, really.
Ahh. Well, I don't know what ones are better over others. I guess I would look at what the trade commissions are. Doesn't matter much tho, unless you do tons of trading. I didn't bother finding out who's the cheapest, just went with etrade from the start. My favourite thing about it would have to be the ratings from various researchers all on one page, as well as the news releases from reuters and others all on one page. That way, it's easier to research... I don't have to spend time jumping around to different websites that I can just read from within etrade
