today we were all over the hospital and it was my first ever experience being in the ICU (scary and creepy) and the Pediatrics department where a little kid was crying and screaming while we were installing software on a doctor's computer in practically the next room over
that part of it, i did not like
i guess that environment is going to take some getting used to
i am, however, looking forward to going into the Psych ward. I have always been just beyond fascinated with mental health issues... and because i just think i would have a fantastic time talking with some of the patients, i just know we would totally *get* each other! (haha of course i would not have any interaction with the patients just the doctors/nurses and their computers)
and also the maternity ward is not so bad, babies are okay
but sick and dying people = not cool
:(
i think we all have a lot of experience with people that belong in the psych ward, yet continue to function in daily life through complaining about things that happened 20 years ago, that they've just never gotten over.
