Hahaha - I said a quick prayer and it totally worked. The attorney came over and said, "You have to open your gift. Really, it's not for Christmas, that was just the only card I had left." And it was a subscription to a foodie mag that I totally wanted! Ahhh, funny stuff.

Well I would've said something like, "I appreciate your thoughtfulness, but my conscience doesn't allow me to receive gifts associated with this holiday." Fortunately, I didn't have to say that to anyone. There's almost no way to put it without hurting feelings, so I'm glad it didn't come up.
