This is really cool because we spoke about this in my linguistics class this semester which probably tainted my answers because I've become very conscious about the way I speak.

What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Midland 

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

Exactly. I guess I'm too conscious as well. 'Cause it thinks I'm Midlandish. Mind you, people would never mistake me for having the voice of Dennis Farina. Now, that's a Midwestern accent. I definately say car and not car.
