There's too many people out of my office this week. This is the conversation I just had with an attorney who's asking me to make a call in lieu of her secretary:
A: Diana, would you please call this attorney and tell him these depositions are canceled and this one will be rescheduled?
D: Sure. (calls the attorney, the secretary asks me why they're being canceled.) Why should I tell the attorney they're being canceled?
A: This is the message: two deps are being canceled and one rescheduled?
D: Right, but should I say why they're being rescheduled?
A: This is why: they're being canceled and one rescheduled.
D: Yes, but is there a reason they're being canceled? The secretary wants to know why.
A: They're being canceled. Do you want me to talk to her? I'll just talk to her.
Diana, the answer is obvious. They're being canceled, and one rescheduled. THAT'S WHY
I'll cancel you. in anything.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!
this sounds like one of the attorneys i work with. She never gives the whole story and then when mistakes are made, or there are questions, she gets impatient and just does it herself. Why didnt she just do it in the first place??
