I was scheduled to give a talk with a very eccentric sister last night. I gave her the talk at the meeting sunday and asked her if we could meet a little early last night to read it over together. She said that was fine.
So I get to the meeting last night and I'm walking into the second school with the sister.
Diana - "So did you get a chance to read over the talk?"
Sister - "Yes."
D - "What did you think, did it sound ok?"
S - "Yea, yea, it sounded fine. I'm just not feeling that well, I'm hoping I'll make it through the whole thing."
D - (dumbfounded)... "Uh... well what's wrong?"
S - "Well, I haven't had diarrhea all day, but I've felt really sick to my stomach. I've been in the bathroom all afternoon."
D - (dumbfounded again).... "Ok.... well why don't we go through the talk?"
Then the sister said she was glad we were in the second school rather than the main hall. I said it's possible we might be moved to the front, since often sisters at my hall don't show up. She just stared at me blankly, like I'd smacked her across the face. I said I'd ask the school overseer and let her know as I walked by. The second she walked away, the overseer tapped me on the shoulder and asked us to move up front.
As I walked by the sister during the song, I said we'd have to be in front. Again, she looked like I'd smacked her. I asked if she'd be ok, and she said, "Oh, I don't know. I'm sitting in the back here in case I have to run to the bathroom, you know, on account of the diarrhea."
hahaha that's so weird. maybe she gets the nervous craps.
hahaha ... NERVOUS CRAPS ... HAHAHHAHAH
uhh so what happened during the talk?!
She was fine! In fact, she did a really good job and stayed for the rest of the meeting. Isn't that the most bizarre thing to say to someone??? I had no idea how to deal with it.
awwww maybe she just stresses out being in front of people.
She seemed relaxed! Really, it's strange to admit to someone that you've got diarrhea, right? I mean, I'm not crazy, am I?
hahahah you'd be amazed how freely peeps talk about that. maybe she just wanted you to get the gist of her nervousness. LOL
I can sort of understand where she is coming from though. This sunday, I had to read the watchtower and I was having the craps all weekend, I was totally afraid that I wouldn't be able to contain myself through the entire watchtower. I squeezed hard and survived.
HAHAHHHAHA, that is heinous!
That's gross, man. You wouldn't broadcast that info, though, right?
no, i'd only broadcast it on ezabel. i even felt too embarrassed to ask another brotha to read
see now most guys aren't embarrassed to say that sort of thing. well my male friends and the males in my family anyway.
