Is anyone versed in how home-schooling works in NJ?

You sign up.
You get books.
Read the books.
Take the tests... cheat by still using the books.
Send the tests.
Get Straight A's.
Kids make fun of you for the rest of your life for being home-schooled.
Take your G.E.D
Serve me a #2 with extra SAUCEY.

I'm kidding of course. Homeschooling rocks.

How much of your day did it take up? Did you still spend 6 hours a day doing stuff like normal school?

I didn't homeschool. A lot of kids I grew up with...
they just play all day.. read a book for an hour.. and thats it.

Seriously how long is school anyway? When you take out the getting up early, the bus, the homeroom, the lunchtime, the recess, the wasted time of people asking stupid questions, the breaks inbetween classes.

You really only learn for like 10 minutes a day anyways.

haha thats so true

Very good point. I'm kind of in a pickle where I may be forced to have my daughter homeschool. If an hour or so a day is spent doing it, that is sweet.

i did it in HS, it was good for me. i learned the stuff on my own. i'm glad i didn't do it in middle school and before though. if ur daughter is young, you are basically going to have to be her teacher

i love how people say stuff like "my friend says" like your friend made it up, when everyone knows that saying.
