ha, welcome to my world!!
here's some stuff that "experts" say about this plateau situation
- make sure you're not over or UNDER eating, you need a certain number of calories to lose weight
- don't eat after 8 p.m.
- switch up your workouts. If you bike 1 hour every day, your body might be getting used to it and not letting go of stuff anymore. Walk. Jog. Anything other than bike.
- you're probably gaining muscle which weighs more than fat, muscle also BURNS fat so you're doing the right thing, keep it up!
- it could be water weight, especially if you're weighing yourself once a month at the same time of the month.. you could fluctuate 5-10 pounds of water weight at certain times
- just keep it up and don't give up because even if you're not losing pounds the benefits to your cardiovascular system, etc. are fantastic
also this guy's advice is cool
awesome thanks for the tips!
yeah i hope it helps! I'm trying to work through a plateau myself and i'm just trying to not weigh myself at all because it's just disheartening.
pretty soon, though, if nothing happens, i'm gonna see a nutritionist
a bro in my cong is a personal trainer and his wife is a phys ed teacher. i think mom is having him come by soon to critique our workout routines.
if your not losing weight that just means you have to work out harder.
goodness i wish it was that simple - if it was that simple i'd be rail thin haha
it's different for girls than guys, waaaay different, especially when they get into their mid-to-late 20's
