I have been told that good cooks don't use recipes because they just know what flavors work together and go by taste. My friend giving me lessons was a pastry chef and said that baking is chemistry...

yeah it's funny I cannot bake at all but i love cooking and mixing flavors together and creating things. Sometimes it doens't work out well lol but most of the time it's pretty good :)
