So I got all dressed up, a nice suit, careful makeup, to talk to a manager at a local restaurant about a part time chef job. The manager couldn't talk to me, so I just left my resume, but the guy I spoke to told me it's a lunchtime shift (hello? perfect for pioneering) and if the guys they're trying out this week don't work, they'll call me. But I'm sure those guys have actual EXPERIENCE, so I think my chances of getting a call at like 2%. Pleh. So I'm drowning my sorrows in a 3pm cocktail...
well with THAT attitude you will never get anywhere
you must OWN IT
act AS IF you own it and deserve it and have it in the palm of your HAND!!! whatever "it" is you have to OWN IT hahaha...
seriously positivity is a good thing sometimes!!
I agree w/kam!
ANNND JUST cause they may have the experience DOESN'T mean that they have the "palate" needed to make yummy dishes! you know what i mean?
hang in there!!!
I'm going to have Donovan call on Monday to see if they've filled the position yet. If not, I'm going to make all kinds of food and bring it to them, to show them what I can do.
why dont you just do that anyway?? position filled or not.
Because they said they had a few people coming in to work for a few hours to test them out this week. I don't want to seem like the overly pushy little girl trying to weasel into the boys' club.
i think your first mistake is that you wore a suit.
I think your first mistake was being born. hahahahahaa....
nice
