I'm going back and reading lots of classics and stuff that is considered young adult lit in preparation for my student teaching this fall. This past week I read:

Red Badge of Courage

Awful. Painful from beginning to end.

Then I reread: The Lord of the Flies

This was actually better than I remember it being.
