So, Nicole Atkins show this weekend at Stone Pony was AMAZING. We met her after the show and had her sign a poster for "mashed potatoes" haha... and we met Cashmere the keyboard playa extraordinnaire
it was cool because she is from Neptune so she said most of her audience at the Stone Pony was her family, and so everyone that was there was her family for the night, it was sweet
she is playing at a bunch of Borders stores in the next month it looks like, that is interesting... i wonder if it will be acoustic sets? She's playing in Paramus, Red Bank, Eatontown, and then the Bowery Ballroom in NYC in january.
Anwyay, see her.
and i really do not like chick music. I love Fiona Apple but that's pretty much it. i go to metal shows. i do not go to folk singy girly shows. she is the exception. And she is amazing!!

(yeah, my knee is healed, time to hit up some metal shows. haha)
who is this chick? i'll watch that video later. anything that happens in paramus is interesting.... not a lot happens here
wow, she's playing at Borders. I know where that one is, it's pretty small. Was the show you saw crowded?
it was a little crowded because it waas in her home town
usually it's not really crowded, i've seen her 2 other times, it's a cool crowd, mix of middle-aged women, tatted up guys and chicks with haircuts and glasses like mine haha
yeah she is so good live
going tomorrow night with my sis!
twice a year our meeting changes from Wednesday to Tuesday due to the C.O. visit. This week is one of those times! DANG!!!!! so yeah not going tomorrow :(
but i think she's also playing next week at the Borders in Red Bank. so weird. playing at borders. i called, it's gonna be acoustic, that's gonna be so cool!!! i wonder if it's free too. hmm. anyway. i'll go next week.
Here's her Letterman performance from October 30th
She's from Asbury Park, NJ!! Support local artists!! :) and local rabbits
WOWOW. that was tremendous. she commanded that place. i love her wall of sound. can't wait to see her.
that song will TOTALLY be on the soundtrack of a david lynch film in the near future, methinks, right?
