However, that's less than $14 per person (including you and Austin), which is really pretty reasonable. Plus, no tip!
hmm that's true. i definitely agree with the idea of asking everyone to bring something, though.
I've taught Lauren to ALWAYS say "we'll bring dessert". It's so easy - buy some Entenmann's for like $5 - BAM. DONE. Lauren was previously baking for everything we got invited to ... i'm like "let's keep it easy, and focus on eating someone else's food"
maybe i'm a bad influence
No, that's actually good. Jesus said to Martha: โMartha, Martha, you are anxious and disturbed about many things."
yea, that is def true, but when you go out to dinner w/ 20 people, you usually don't foot the bill. haha
it's not that i'm unhappy we did it. Everything was really nice and everyone had a good time. And sometimes i think it's easier to have a bunch of people over at once than 4 or 6 at a time, cuz then it takes a lot longer to get around to different ones in the cong. We are trying eventually to have everyone over at one point or another, and we have 14 elders and 150 publishers, so that'll take a while.
You just kinda deceive yourself when you go to the liquor store one day, sam's club the next and the grocery store the last, you don't realize how much you're spending. lol
