OK, at the request of Ian and Brian I've taken some pictures. This is the interface for Beyond TV (sort of like Tivos, I imagine). I picked this one because it's easy enough for anyone (Lauren) ...

actually, i do this when it's raining and can't go outside. plus this project started in August of 07 (see my initial post), so it's been over 6 months of work , mostly 10 minutes/week.
