Awesome post. It's part of growing up, but closing yourself off is definitely never a good thing. You know about the one isolating himself, but somehow you can be involved with a congregation and busy in service and still kind of isolate yourself in the way you're talking about, right? (i'm not being critical just agreeing).
We should definitely hang out ... also, if you want to go to Costa Rica ... man I want in.

It's a strange thing. I've absolutely isolated myself in the past. That turned out horrible. I know better than that, now. Its not that I didn't understand that scripture, but I saw no other way of coping, I was hurting so bad. I avoid that, now, even when I feel like doing just that.
But, yeah, i could be doing so much more with friends and stuff, but I don't want to get hurt. Its easier for me to divert my attentions to other activities so I don't have to feel this way--especially now--I'm especially sensitive right now.
Costa Rica is amazing, and you need to experience it. We've never really HUNG OUT in the past, so we should do that--once I sail through this current sea thoughts and feelings.
let's do it up, my friend. Saturday night is looking highly open, mostly because my wife is having some kind of tupperware party involving items that are not tupperware.
