all of that stuff is pretty cool. i hope i can at least go to manc or at least europe. sadly enough i never left pennsylvania. i have 3 more years pf high school left before i graduate so i won't be going to college for a while. do you guys hate it when americans say "have a nice day?" my english friend told me that.
A wordly English family that was more American-culturely aware than you could ever want, told our family, whilst shooting our picture (so our whole family could get in the shot. And they offered to take it. How thoughtful.) in Epcot this past February, that saying "have a nice day" is like wishing bad luck upon somebody. We held back our laughing.. until they started to laugh themselves, so then we of course joined in anyway afterall. But, didn't say "have a nice day" on the second chance at a goodbye.
well my english friend said that people in england get annoyed when americans say "have a nice day" bescause the english aren't as "happy" and "chipper" as americans. he means it the way the mcdonalds reject uses it after you order your meal.
hahha that is true. we are more friendly. although don't be fool, all brits are excited to talk to any american, and will make up ANY lame excuse to try and talk to you (they are secretly hoping you will offer them a place to stay when they visit. say NO.)
ya but every time i said "have a nice day" in a friendly tone to my friend he would get mad. but he was agrier when i started to sing an avril levine song but i think that is because she is french.
yea... walk around the nightlife... they love coming up to americans and sharing slang.. or just weirdos
it is exactly the same when brits come to the states, theyre all "Oh arent you so cute, hey everyone in the entire town come listen to this cute english girl - go on, speak....speak....jump through a hoop, catch the bone yada yada" :P

oh yeah thats right it was you, he organised a whole town show with me as the main attraction, like a freak show at a circus except i had to do everything else too, like run around with huge baggie pants on, make the kids laugh, do acrobatics and ride a frickin uni cycle - yeah Dan i never said thanks for that did i!!!

you know what's amazing? when british people do american accents out of the blue. I love that. or when black comics talk like white people. love it.

Kate Winslet does real good American accents. Like I mean, she can even do region-specific American accents. It's amazing!
ninestar...that isn't that impressive...come on...any normal american can do regional british accents...scottish vs. irish vs. cockneys...i'm not that impressed.
