Are you serious because I don't feel that you are?

well i'm serious. i was 'this' close to buying the book... i hear it's one of the greatest poems ever. was it ? and what 3 people get nawed by the dark one forever?

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

Yeah..as far as poetry goes it's simply amazing. The problem is in the different circles of hell all the people being tortured are major political/religious figures of that era so most of the time you have nooo idea who they are save for the occasional well known name. I still have to read the next two: Purgatory and Heaven (I forget the real names). The 3 are the greatest traitors of all time- I can't say more or I'll ruin it, it's fun to guess while you're reading.

ilikebirds ilikebirdsOG 2002

well i'm not going to read it... seeing as how i just ordered 13 books... so.... let meee know...

Well, George Washington wasn't alive when Dante wrote. (He's about two hundred years later.) And while there are several popes serving their time in Dante's Hell, they are not being personally tortured by Satan.

Whoops. Make that 450 years later.
