I know of some girls that were given very unconventional first names, and normal middle names, so that if they ever ended up not liking their first names any longer as they grew up, they could just drop it, and use their middle names instead, as their first names.
Thats pretty much what I planned to do with my children.
yeah that's such a good idea. i get to name the weird first name and my husband gets the normal second one. but i know someone who has a very odd middle name and chooses to use that instead of his first name.
my mom goes by her middle...did i say this already?
