how about; DON'T GET NERVOUS WHEN MEETING OUR FAMILY FOR THE FIRST TIME....
i never understood why this happens. perhaps cuz i haven't personally experienced it but they're just people. people who care deeply about the person you care deeply about. so what's the big deal?
In the event that they end up hating you and not letting you go out with their child..it could be a bit problematic.
I don't see why this would be a problem for a girl, since if a guy likes you he's not going to be dissuaded by his parents. For a guy on the other hand...
Not completely dissuaded but they can make things complicated for both people involved. I don't know why you think a girl should listen to her parents about this when a guy isn't expect to?
It's not that I think a girl should listen to her parents more than a guy. It's that I would be very frightened of dealing with some girls' fathers.
My dad is pretty cool..I have always been terrified of my boyfriends dad on the other hand even though he's nice to me.
my dad has this thing....if a guy likes me....he hates them.
I don't understand guys like that. If I had a daughter I'd want her to be happy and to find a guy that made her happy. Of course, I'd make it clear to her boyfriend that if he hurts her he'll end up wishing he'd never been born, but that's a different story.
Ok..this is your baby girl! You've watched this little girl grow up, and she is your baby. You don't want some guy touching her and kissing her..or even looking at her.
i think those were the dads that misused girls growing up or have seen it. and if they weren't in the truth, theres no telling how many insane ways they disrespected and hurt girls or what they've seen their freinds or perhaps even family doing. they know what goes on and what can happen. and inexperience in relationships can gradually thrust a young lady into misconduct and that can spiritually wreck her. dads do not want that.
No, I really can't identify with this. If she really wanted to get married I think I would be the first one to help her. Maybe I'll change if I have a daughter one day, but right now I can't imagine feeling this way.
hahaha, oh my... julia julia julia... you have NO IDEA!!!
we're the nervous ones? i've seen guys literally sweat in front of my dad.
