I always find myself looking at a product in the store and wondering "hmm... I wonder if this really works" or "hmm... i wonder if this is really good" or "hmm... I wonder if I can really have Thai's asian baby"

This is the place to discuss things you have tried/used/eaten etc. and tell us about it

Kind of like a Epinions.com

Oh and no music or movie reviews.... let's keep those in the music and movie forums

haha that was so Rogue - ish

Tampons....

Multi purpose i have found. Need some temporary drum sticks? i prefer Extra Heavy... (for those heavy drumming days)

Good for those nasty spills. Grape juice on the carpet? no sweat with a few of these super absorbant wonder sticks!

Overall Id say, everyone should have an unlimited supply of these... Also included a free applicator... i dont really know what that does, but you can shoot rubber bands with it, if you want.

AH HA ha ha *rolls on the floor* I bow to your excellence! YOU ROCK!

ilikebirds ilikebirdsOG 2002 ·

Wow.. I'm sorry but i prefer using my Always with wings for the grape juice spills.

new gum: citrus samba by chiclets.

so i like fruity things (obviously i'm friends with mike.) but anyways so it was late at quick check and i guess its new so its been two for one. it is soo good. my new line is "it dances in your mouth." to me i feel the grapfruit starting to mix on my tongue in the samba dance. since its chiclets the flavor doesn't last that long but it is really good and doesn't get hard until 3 hours after you begin chewing. try it, you'll like it.

almay nearly naked touch pad liquid makeup spf 15.
http://www.drugstore.com/templates/stdplist/default.asp?catid=9563&cmbProdBrandFilter=28631&trx=PLST-0-BRAND&trxp1=40&trxp2=80582&trxp3=1&trxp4=0&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-BRAND&brand=28631

im not a big fan of "drugstore" makeup, but this delivery system is the bomb! you press the sponge and it dispenses just enough product to apply to your face. supposedly, it is better to use your fingers when applying liqud base bc if you use a sponge, the sponge abosrbs the product. there arent quite enough shades, but im dealing with a fading tan. (i got nearly neutral and its a tad dark.)

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

Ah, but I have heard that if you use your fingers you are spreading germs.

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

fallacy!!! unless you use a new sponge everytime, you are spreading germs also. think about how many times you wash your hands vs how many times you wash your sponge.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

Uh..I do use a new sponge every time. The lady at Vickies makeup told me to so I went to harmones and bought a cheap bag of a bunch of them.

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

good job!!! thats the way to do it then. but you still waste some of your product on the sponge. esp with a liquid product. i usually just try to wash my hands first.

Brilliant Brunette Shampoo/Conditioner/Shine Enhancer from John Frieda: This stuff is amazing! It really does bring shine out in your hair on different levels that you've never seen. It also makes you hair silkier. I'd definitely reccomend it, but its on the pricier side, like 5 or 6 bucks a bottle...and the bottle doesn't go thaaaat far...but i'd still recommend it.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

I use John Freida's stuff that makes your hair beachy.

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

i use that too! beach blonde. i love the coconut scenty one!

specialk specialkOG 2003 ·

Is that good for bottle brunettes too? I'm going to the salon tomorrow(yes, to go darker), and I'm gonna need a good shampoo/conditioner to keep the color in, and I can get a nice, expensive $15 bottle of each at my salon, but I'd gladly pay $5-$6 for something that works the same.

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

yep, the bottle says natural, color-treated, and highlighted brunettes. Though, i don't know if it works better or worse or what, cause my hair is just naturally the color it is. But since it says it on the bottle, i'd assume it'd work the same.

Also, there are two different kinds, for different shades of brown.

specialk specialkOG 2003 ·

I've actually used teh Brilliant Blonde, which works really well. But not after today!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! :)

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

then the brunette will probably work just as well...i've got faith in frieda

you should put up a new pic with brown hair!

reaf reafOG 2002 ·

yeah i love this stuff.. . . also Bed HEad after party smoothing creme i found i love! and smells so good.

i'd like a review of Fabreze. All those kids in the car, sniffing like they're on drugs. someone please review this.

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

that was a sucky review

Ok, ok. Let me try again. Last August I bought another Jetta cuz I totalled my nice one on the way to NJ. I bought my nasty Jetta from a stupid 17 year old smoking moron. My car stunk and it had cigarette burns in the seats. Febreeze worked in getting the stench out but the burns are still there.

I have heard that you can use Febreeze and Downy anti-wrinkle spray on clothing and avoid the laundromat all-together.

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

wait, wait....you had a jetta and you bought ANOTHER one!?! whats wrong with you!?

T
toxicgirlOG 2003 ·

i liked the first one, you learn to work with the quirks. the second one is garbagio

yay yayOG 2004 ·

use it all the time

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

makes the carpet and couches and stuff smell really fresh, not really a "scent" but just a freshness

yay yayOG 2004 ·

yeah but fact that i use it is what matters

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

Rip..Slip.. Brush.. Ahhhhhhh!

You know it, you love it. The best commercial ever.

Anyway i tried the product this weekend - Oral B Brush-Ups. and they are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

get them. Do it. They freshen your whole mouth you can brush your tounge and stuff. Very freshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and really make you say AHHHH

DOOR KNOBS...

I found that door knobs that come with butter pour on them are much harder to use, as oppose to new doorknobs with no butter and a layer of sandpaper over them.

ilikebirds ilikebirdsOG 2002 ·

hey STUPID TAG nazi.. what are you doing. i hate you

SHOE HORNS...

I find that smooth shoe horns are GREATER than the Bump, scaly shoe horns.

Boxers rated on a scale of: Modest(keeps everything in its place) to Immodest(bits and pieces pop out or convenient opening is constantly exposing interior contents)

Old Navy: Modest (I personally think they have the best boxers. No buttons, and still Modest)

Hanes Classic Boxers: Immodest (Its ridiculous. might as well not wear any. Also, they are cheap and rip easily)

Any Boxers with Buttons: Modest but annoying. However, less scary than the idea of boxers with zippers.

iwz iwz ·

I love my Banana Republic boxers. The fly is verrry wide, so there's no chance of any "immodesty" hehe

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

haha, i love this. who designs those crappy boxers anyway??? oh yeah... asians! lol

New Product - JUST tested a few minutes ago!! The hair removal thread made me think of it.

I tried Veet - the plastic blade-less razor and hair removal creme.

Smell - smells like flowers, very nice

Burning sensation - none

Ease of hair removal - AMAZING! It came right off with the plastic 'razor'

Time - 3 minutes for the creme to sit and do its thang, and then about 5 mimutes to remove it - altogether, just a couple more minutes than shaving, but without the knicks and cuts, and also more definite and precise hair removal - esp. around the knee area.

Smoothness of legs after use - very very smooth and moisturized by the creme - silky

Price - I think it was $7.99

It's supposed to last longer than shaving. I will check back!

Overall rating - Defintely Recommended!

malibu malibuOG 2001 ·

this is so exciting. i heard this doesn't work. but your amazing review just inspired me to want to use it again because the other day before di's wedding i shaved and cut myself soooo bad. up around my leg. then while dancing my legs burned quite badly from the sweat. it hurt.

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

HEY! YOU WIN!

malibu malibuOG 2001 ·

SAWEEET!!!!!what do i win?

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

Uh, legs. With less cuts.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

This is exciting! I've tried to original one that didn't have the blade-less razor but was just the moose stuff and that didn't work too well because you had just a little sponge to use to get it off and if you didn't work fast enough it burned.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

WOOT WOOT!! two days later and there is only slight stubble... not nearly as much as with shaving. I love this product.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

I'm totally getting some!

reaf reafOG 2002 ·

ahhh, I have always wondered about this stuff! Thanks

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

I've always wanted to try those Necco "candy wafer" thingies i always see them in the store but never bought it. Someone at work has them so I am trying them for the first time. Interesting, not what i thought they were gonna be at all. I thought they were going to be actual little round wafer pieces like the wafer inside of a kit-kat... um yeah they're like .. hmm i have no idea how to describe them. WHen I think of it i'll post it. They are enjoyable though...

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

chalky like sweethearts right?

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

yep that's it!!!! hahah just came to me. exactly like that valentines candy.

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

those are like old school candies. gram loves em

iwz iwz ·

ugh. who the heck would go out of their way to eat that crap.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

yeah i never tried these before and it's a tiny pack like a third of the usual pack.. haloween candy leftovers...

it was pretty enjoyable! If you like the chalky candy stuff

yay yayOG 2004 ·

yeah there's nothing like being disappointed, i musta bought those like 4 or 5 times throughout my life thinking - "hey these are going to be great", chomp, spit spit spit

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

hahahahahaha how can you make that mistake after the first time? you're silly

yay yayOG 2004 ·

they just look so pretty and tasty

malibu malibuOG 2001 ·

i hate these things. absolutely gross.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

How about epil stop spray, anyone use that?

iwz iwz ·

how about Nads Hair Removal?

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

nads = messy. i recommend surgi-wax™ hair remover (microwave formula) made by american intl industries. it requires no strips. the wax itself hardens enough to peel.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002 ·

Interesting..does this hurt as much as normal waxing? is it as complicated? I tried waxing once and I bruised myself cause I messed up.

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

I to am a fan of Surgi-Wax good stuff...facial formula awesome for eyebrows!

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

it smells terrible, it doesn't work, and it can make you break out or cause an allergic reaction...steer clear of it

That's a shame..Nair makes me break out too.

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

bandaid brand advanced healing line. revolutionary! highly recommended!

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

has anybody used airborne? I'd like a product review of that

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

i haven't used it (i forget) but one of my good freinds BRAGS about it all the time. when she's coming down with something she takes it and its gone in an instant.

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

it must work, because its very popular...i'm getting sick, so i went to four stores and each one was sold out, saying its hard to keep it on the shelves

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

do you ahve trader joes out there? whole foods market has it also.

ilikebirds ilikebirdsOG 2002 ·

The got bought out by DHL... but airborne was good

tinser tinserOG 2002 ·

i went to target and the lady at the pharmacy told me its overrated and a gimmick. She pointed me towards zinc suckers and told me i should take them in addition to the vitamins i already take to be fine.

reaf reafOG 2002 ·

my husband has used it, he thinks it works but i think it just prolonged him a couple extra days of getting sick, because it seemed like he got sick anyway just a few more days then he probably would have.

shelf stable lunch items (please add items you have tried)

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

dinty moore scalloped potatoes and ham - ham?! ha. not even close. not recommended.

sunshyne sunshyneOG 2004 ·

hormel kids kitchen noodle rings and chicken - heartier than chicken noodle soup. suprisingly filling. not bad.

dinty moore beef stew - gross. im sooo done with dinty moore.

Cherry flavored Dentyne Ice.

Dis-gust-ing. Blech. Tastes like cough drops, but without the menthol.

yay yayOG 2004 ·

Logitech MX 5 button optical mouse. Its not bad, a little too lightweight, the 5th foward history button is completely out of place though, I would recommend the microsoft intelliexplorer over this.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

I'll go first!

Ice Breakers "Liquid Ice" Cinnamon mints - very delicious, and it does freshen breath instantly. However, the little liquid mints are extremely tiny! It's impossible to have just one mint. And they have Aspertame the fake sweetener that is made out of pesticide and it gives me a weird headache...

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

"is it liquid or ice"
