Coupons....
Okay this is going to sound retarted but I have only used coupons for grocery shopping maybe once in my life
usually I just go and buy what I need to buy, and still keep it at a reasonable cost... I have a shopper's card or whatever and usually try to buy stuff that's on sale but I know I could probably slice my foodshopping bill in half if I used coupons and looked for deals, etc... but I seriously have no idea where to start
I know they have coupons in the Sunday paper, and I didnt' get the paper yesterday and I need to go foodshopping
blaaaaah send me coupons
oh also i think i need to make the extra 10 minute drive to go to ShopRite or PathMark because our local grocery store, Acme, is like super expensive. It's close but I'm sure it's way more expensive then the huge chains...
OH and what about Sams Club and Costco?? Is anything really worth buying in bulk???..... paper products maybe?
blah

I once saved over $60 with coupons.....I'm a regular coupon cutter evey Sunday.
Sams and Costco rule.....I don't buy eveything there, just the things we use a lot, like chicken and ground beef, dishwashing detergent, bread, cereal.....they are actually really good deals.
I am big into coupons. And I would say for things that last a long time that you will always need buying in bulk is good.
This is what I get at Costco:
Chicken (i clean it, put them in baggies and freeze them)
Hamburger
Sugar Free Jello
Toilet paper
Paper Towels
Orbit Gum
Olive oil
Tuna fish
Chunky peanut butter
Not everything there is in enormous quantity. Plus, I think that not having to go for a emergency toilet paper run is a big bonus.
my mom is obsessed with cuoupons. one time i think she was shopping for a party she was having and for some reason of mass shopping what would have cost $500 was only somewhere around $256. something like that. she save $250 in coupons. i think it was double coup9on week though. i'll have to ask her later.
My mom refuses to use coupons for some reason! We convinced her to use them and she always forgets!! I cut them out (I love cutting coupons and all) for her and she just lets them go to waste :( You can save so much money!!
Coupons are totally worth it! My record for savings on one trip is $40. On average, I save about $10-$20 per week. That's like $780/year. I don't find that Costco and Sam's Club are really worth it because I'm not cooking for a small army. If I had a family of 8 or even 6, it might be worthwhile.
so where do you get them, just like, the Sunday paper?
Yeah. They usually have coupon sections near the comics and other circulars.
oh so you gotta buy a paper...
that's where they getcha
The paper is $1.75... and has useful information about the world around you.
i was kind of making a joke, sort of
NOOOOT funny......
You gotta be careful with coupons, though. Sometimes the sales the store has beat out the coupon.
Then use the coupon in addition to the sale and save more!
My family's a big fan of double coupons.
Today at ACME they had 10 cans of tuna for $10. that's a STEAL! so yeah now i have like 40 cans of tuna. I guess it saves money in the long run because... i don't have to buy tuna for about a year and a half
OMG i LUV coupons!!!! unfortuneatley i shop trader joes or wholefoods so i can't use coupons. BUT shopping like at your local grocer, they're SO worth it. sometimes they give you double the coupon....SCORE!!!!
Please try the frozen desserts by Double Rainbow (in your local Trader Joe's Frozen food section)
we get a lot of things at Trader Joes. Better, but more expensive. And none are anywhere near to home. They need to build one nearby...
we buy water bottles in bulk at sam's club.
