Weird Sayings/Sounds

tesoro by tesoroOG 2001 · Jul 1, 2005 · 296 views

Through the 21 years of my life I have coined many sayings/phrases/sounds. Here are some of my favorites.

Mongrolific-To look gross/frumphy. "That sweater looks mongrolific on you".

Mushkie-This was my cat Midnight's nickname. He was such a mush...I called him Mushkie...some times Mushka Babooshka. (Kamila, didn't Tina ask you if this meant something in Polish? hahaha)

RAHHHH!-If you don't like something or if something isn't going your way...and you can't express your feelings, you just RAHHH! *Not to be used in serious situations*

Meaaaaaaaa!-This is my sister-in-law's and my favorite. Anytime you're bored but have nothing to say...a good meaaa..does it just right.

Chunkdified-If something doesn't taste right, it's not gross, it's "chunkdified". Or something can be "chunked up".

I know I'm not the only weirdo on eZabel...so what are some of your weird phrases?

So I met this gentleman informal witnessing somwehere a while back. I think he was on something tripping back to the 70's LOL...He mentioned that he had studied w/ someone in the past but, described the brother as a "square". Old school HA!

forrestina #16 forrestinaOG 2002

i'm sure i've posted this on here, but my terms of endearment are stinkermuffin and boob, boobalah, boobie, boobah. you are really special to me if i ever call you one of these.

tesoro #16.1 tesoroOG 2001

NO WAY! my gramma used to call me Boobalah! she said it meant "babydoll" in sicilian!

forrestina #16.1.1 forrestinaOG 2002

ha yea it's a family thing with valentis-my mom musta picked it up when she married dad (siciliano)

tesoro #16.1.1.1 tesoroOG 2001

oh man! that's so cool! i thought it was made up..

superhero #15 superheroOG 2004

i say things are bumpkin. like, hello my bumpkin, what's the mail doing in my bumpkin, and what the bumpkin is that thing coming out of her nose?

it's a universal word.

also i like a good pair of toenail clippers.

fivezero #15.1 fivezeroOG 2003

no, no. a bumpkin is a backwards country person with no ambiton but to get a big pick up truck. a blumpkin is a big booty.

originalsnob #15.1.1 originalsnobOG 2004

omg BLUMPKIN...brings tears to my eyes.

forrestina #14 forrestinaOG 2002

nothing unique, but i replace parts of words with "io" sometimes. for example, instead of "imitation" i say "imiotation." i also like to add = iscious or isciousness on the end of words. and i use ew in a positive sense. i.e. ew! i love your dress.

tesoro #14.1 tesoroOG 2001

LOL! you are so cute! i love those!

juicymango #14.2 juicymangoOG 2003

oh! that reminds me lol I add "ia" at the end of words

"how was your weekendia?"

stuff like dat.

juicymango #14.2.1 juicymangoOG 2003

AND words that end with "tion" are really "sheeeonn"

like gradooaysheeeonnn

perrin #13 perrinOG 2004

DAH! I don't know I just started saying it one day instead of BAH! I just like the sound and feel of it. TRY IT! you know you want to. lol

yay #12 yayOG 2004

my brain has exploded

originalsnob #11 originalsnobOG 2004

When we were younger, if my grand didn't think my sister brushed her teeth properly she'd say "get the bread off your teeth". This used to gross me out 'cause I mean...plaque and bread two VERY DIFFERENT things.

originalsnob #10 originalsnobOG 2004

On the matter of Chunkdified, when I was twelve something gross came across the lunch table and I was like it was all Funktified...very much to my dismay I later learned that I had not coined this phrase.

beachbum #8 beachbumOG 2002

somtimes i hear things out of the "corner of my ear"

lip lice-refers to if someone drinks out of your glass or takes a bite of your food. they get their lip lice on it.

socalgal #8.1 socalgalOG 2003

hha we say "lip chap"

juicymango #7 juicymangoOG 2003

I often say "close the light" instead of "turn off the light"

and sometimes I say "turn off the door"

i'm Polish

thefunkyfresh #7.1 thefunkyfreshFounder

weeeeird, i say close the light too. i was gonna put that in here but i didnt think it was worthy of being weird enough

i never say turn off the door though

juicymango #7.1.1 juicymangoOG 2003

yeah i think i've only said the door thing like, once, when i was very confused. But yeah lights get closed. Not turned off.

And they get opened.

tesoro #7.1.1.1 tesoroOG 2001

i do the same thing...."open or close the light" i do sometimes say "shut the light" instead of "shut the light OFF". I dont really know if that's odd, but people here make fun of me for it.

originalsnob #7.2 originalsnobOG 2004

Oh my, this is different but, it sounds kind of cute...Maybe I'd have to hear you guys actually say it.

socalgal #7.3 socalgalOG 2003

nice to know i'm normal. i thought my sisters and i were the only ones to say "close the light"

tesoro #6 tesoroOG 2001

oh i just remembered another...."arfing"

as in....that movie was so arfing gay.

arfing=used in replace of "stinkin, freakin"

fivezero #6.1 fivezeroOG 2003

hmmm, i'm not convinced

malibu #5 malibuOG 2001

"booty chedder" - something that is wack or crazy.
ex. "What do you mean qdoba closes at 9. That's booty chedder."

"togged to the bricks"-when you are looking snazy.
ex. "you look togged to the bricks in your new dress buddy."

"mitt me"- to congratualte someone
ex. mitt me kid, im getting married.

"caddy whumpus."-someting out of alignement, crazy, all over the place.
ex. "Girl your hair is lookin all caddy whumpus today."

rocksupastar #5.1 rocksupastarFounder

you, my friend... have issues...

tesoro #5.2 tesoroOG 2001

wow, it's so funny....how your own weird sayings make perfect sense...then you read someone elses and you're like...wow...THEY are weird. hahahah i'm jk....i could get into a few....i like "mitt me" the best.

flomojopoanode #5.2.1 flomojopoanodeFounder

I see what you're sayin', but actually, I think everyone thinks that Julie's sayings are weird when they read them. :)

malibu #5.2.1.1 malibuOG 2001

do you wanna fist fight right now?. but at least you didnt say they sound weird when is say them. cuz who would ever make fun of the way i talk. :P

malibu #5.3 malibuOG 2001

but also i found a new one from this book i was reading:
"shake a wicked calf."-to go dance crazily
ex.: "We're gonna head out to the floor and shake a wicked calf. jealous?"

flomojopoanode #4 flomojopoanodeFounder

you are definitely not the only weirdo.

I like to call pieces of paper slices of paper.
If I get hurt or if I mess something up, I (or it) got junked up.

I know I've got tons, but I can't think of any more right now.

tesoro #4.1 tesoroOG 2001

hahahha! i love that! "slices of paper"

fivezero #3 fivezeroOG 2003

I love how Flavor Flav of Public Enemy says "yeahhhh, boyyy." One of the most welcome sounds in my world.

hunkpapap #2 hunkpapapOG 2003

i know you've been away for a while, but there is a journal on this already..

tesoro #2.1 tesoroOG 2001

when i first read your comment, i was like, WHAT, i wrote a journal about this...but then i realized...no, no...it wasnt me. so what's it called? post the link! i wanna see what people said.

flomojopoanode #2.1.1 flomojopoanodeFounder

it's okay, though, because stinkin journals don't work the way they used to. So this is a good thread.

rocksupastar #1 rocksupastarFounder

no... you ARE the only weirdo on eZabel...oh lay!

tesoro #1.1 tesoroOG 2001

i was trying to think of something weird that you have done to prove you are a weirdo. and all i can remember right now is "H.G.W."

rocksupastar #1.1.1 rocksupastarFounder

lol WHY do you always have to bring that up... lol

tesoro #1.1.1.1 tesoroOG 2001
