Harrisburg anyone?
by Okay, so I just found out that I got this job, but it is in Harrisburg, PA.
I'm taking it because it has benefits and good stuff, but I don't know very much about the area. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the area or anything at all about central/eastern PA.

harrisburg is too far away from anything. and they don't even have a decent sub shop. don't take the job. benefits are over-rated. get yourself a swedish fish laden shopping cart and wander the boardwalk this summer. you'll make enough to last until next year.
I am from that area. Depending on where you are coming from it might not be that bad for you. There is more to do in Harrisburg than there used to be. I wouldn't recommend living in Harrisburg though, the suburbs are nicer.
this might have helped out earlier, but I found a place downtown. I enjoy urban living and it is a block from the farmers market and a block from 2nd where all the restaurants are. It's a town house and the neighborhood seems nice, business professionals, a few blocks down might be scary.

There are a couple of halls in harrisburg, I don't know the boundaries.

only a couple times, was there before kim got married. We're all gonna go back one of these days for a reunion..
A TON of my family (my cousins, my brother, his wife, aunts, uncles, and other Witness friends) live in PA, right outside of Scranton. I don't know how far that is to Harrisburg, but if you ever need some friends to hang with, I'll give you their numbers. Very cool people.
