by anyone get the dates for their convention and want to share? i put this thread here so i could use the ***SPOILER*** alert (did it work?). anyway, for the first time in i can't remember how far back, we don't have a date yet. between the year's text and the convention theme, i'm wondering if i should just get my toothbrush and prepare for some prison food! anyway, we have a bethel brother in our cong that works in the convention office; he said they've already received reports of "brothers" reserving rooms at hotels across 5 or 6 weekends so they're 'covered' when the dates get announced. what's WRONG with our "brothers"? i hope they straighten up before it's too late.

Ours is June 2-4. My plans are still up in the air though, since I haven't heard whether I was accepted to go to the international convention yet. Actually, I might just go to mine as well so that I get to see it earlier. :)
They did announce that there are some hotels now that are still offering "Jehovah's Witness Rates", but are no longer on the list, and are actually not any cheaper than normal, and they are trying to scam the friends who maybe stayed there last year, since they know the conventions are in the summer, and so they send mailings to the people who stayed there previous years, trying to get them to come back, but for crummy rates. So be careful, peeps. :)

Booking rooms before they announce the convention just goes against SOOO much ... plus then, the brothers and sisters who NEED rooms for THIER convention can't get them ..
Ours is July 7th through the 9th.......but we won't be here for it.....teehee!!!! We'll be gone before then! :)

cause i have an old co-worker that i still keep in touch with that moved out there and i witness to her and acceptss the literature from the bro's & sisters who go to her door but she doesnt ask them questions, but she feels comfortable asking me, which i dont mind, but i was hoping maybe if there was someone there that i knew and nitroduced her she'd eventually feel comfortable to go to a meeting.
I have friends moving to Fountain Hills at the end of February
They will most likely meet my in-laws then......the Fountain Hills hall is divided into 2 congregations, one is Fountain Hills, the other is Shea Heights. My in-laws go to Shea Heights, which is where we'll go to, most likely. Let me know their names and if you know which congregation they'll be in, and I can tell my family to keep an eye out for them. :)
