Growing up I wanted to be a marine biologist but... I'm now doing something close to it... COMPUTER SCIENCE.
I'm not sure I like it.
I think I am more suited for MARKETING... ?

I wanted to go to school to be a paralegal or a court reporter because I loved anything to do with law. But more than that I wanted to be a writer but that's just really hard to make money from so I went to college and took computer classes and writing classes and accounting classes and in the meantime I worked in accounting, and after a year of college I had enough, so I just worked and pioneered, and then I went to computer school, got my MCSE, and worked full-time in that for 2 years, then pioneered for a year while working 4-days a week.. and then lost my job and did temp work for about a year, which kinda sucked but was kinda fun at the same time.. and now i'm doing accounting, payroll and HR at a Law office, I've been here almost a year and I love it. So.. it's weird because I wound up doing something that has to do with law, sort of, while doing accounting which is what I did years ago. Hah.
The worst question I was asked at interviews for jobs is "where do you see yourself in 5 years" because I HAVE NO IDEA... i could be a coal miner, a photographer, a horse trainer, an executive accountant or a janitor, who knows. However, I would like to get back to pioneering PRONTO, which ever job I get to have is just "the background" to my real goal of pioneering.
My major as an undergraduate at UCSD was Mathematics, and I'm now in the Mathematics PhD program at UCB.
My major was Dental Hygiene...I got an Associate in Arts degree. Now I am a licensed Dental Hygienist.
My recommedation-Avoid professions that require passing a board exam. I had to take 3, they are hardcore.
i majored in computer science and minored in management. if i had to do it all over i woulda put my eggs in one basket and become a rock star.

Yeah, that's another thing I'd love to do, my husband and our friend really wanna do this, but we prolly never will... cos who will make the first move i have no idea. Plus you need the startup capital. And we only have a capital O as in zero.

i used to want to be an architect for a long time and then a guy came to our school about it for career day and everything he explained and talked about, i absolutely hated the thought of doing it. so now i have no direction in life. i think its better this way.

graduating october with my associates degree of science in computer information systems from devry university. bachelor's will be Feb 2005.
I wanted to be a Literature teacher for High School kids, or History..but I suck at History even if I love it so that's not gonna happen. BUT psychology keeps begging me to look into it, and in my class today the idea of being a human resource person at some huge company presented itself to me. I like the idea of working in a cubicle because I don't like being too near people for long periods of time.
but if you work as a human resource person...you have to be mean....ohhhh, maybe thats just where i work.
and psych...psych is crazy....i came to a new realization about psych today...that question about what makes us the way we are? Its stupid. We shouldn't care...we are that way, and since most people don't even actually know who they are...they should figure that out first. I hate the question why...it leads to far too much confusion and ......
Well..my psych teacher is just super awesome, I love her. And she doesn't really have us psycho-analysing ourselves..but I do understand the dumbness of that. Like..we are the way we are, just deal with it.

i plan on majoring in childhood education... and minoring in english... or maybe its the other way around... well regardless i want to become a english teacher for middle schools
