Anyone ride? I'm looking for a new bike and was wondering if anyone had any experiance and could offer expertise. I'm looking for trail riding, single track, not too difficult but not too easy either.

My last bike was a GT Agressor but that's still in Jersey as my brother kind of made it his own. I understand GT got bought out and is owned by a department store, so they are out of the question.

I'm looking at mainly Gary Fisher, Specialized, and Diamond Back. Trek's seem a bit pricy and Cannondales are over priced. I'm leaning towards either a Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc or a Gary Fisher Piranha or Gary Fisher Wahoo Disc.

Thoughts?

I ended up getting an '06 Hardrock Pro. Got a decent deal on it so I'm happy. Though my second day out with it I got a flat. The sad part is I was off the paved trail for no more than 100 yards. There are thorns everywhere.

I have a Specialized bike. It has been good for me the last 8 years.

I've been wanting to get a good bike for a while. You seem to know more than me. I'm gonna check out the bikes you mentioned.

Should figure out the type of riding you plan on doing and how much you want to spend.

I still don't know the difference between all the forks and different types of shifters (SRAM vs Shimano) but I'm hoping to learn.

The biggest upgrade I'm going to from my last bike is getting disc breaks.
