Toys that I HEART
I am snowed in and I was just struck by the rubik's cube sitting on my desk. "Man, I miss my old toys." I think I am regressing a bit, because I have some toys now that I didn't have a year ago.
I have:
-a mini etch-a-sketch
-a hula dancer
-rubik's cube
-several action figures
-pom pom's
But nothing compares to the toys I had when I was little:
-Barbie's
-micro machines (I had a brother, so yeah I played with those)
-Punky Brewster doll
-Slip 'n Slide
-Slinky
-Silly Putty
-Lego's
-My Little Pony
-Pound Puppies
-Skip it
-sparkly jelly jump ropes
I also remember that when I was little, Happy Meal Toys were WAY cooler than they are now. I also remember wanting an Easy Bake Oven, a Light Brite, that light up Simon game, and Operation. How bout you?

finally a chance to introduce my favorite topic: strawberry shortcake, combining my loves of sunshine, gardening and sweetness!
but i also enjoyed playing with:
sit n spin
speak n spell
dolly pops (not mine, my friends)
colorforms
fisher price little people
my friend mandy (also not mine, but i have one now thanks to ebay!)
do you remember the "fresh n' fancy" make your own fragrance and make up kits?
i LUV strawberry shortcake too!
no i dont. i even did a google search, but i didnt come up with anything.
maybe i got the name wrong, but i thought it was called fresh n fancy
ok check this site out. www.inthe80s.com and go to the toys starting with F and it'll have it there.

I auditioned for a Sit n Spin commercial when I was little. I didn't get the part though.....the spinning part of it all made me so dizzy and it upset my tummy.
They gave me gum, though. When you are 4 gum is like a million dollars.
do you guys remember toys like ribbon dancer and skip-it?? man, i was obsessed with my skip-it. i used to do it so much that the number count would be too high and i have scars from not wearing socks on summer nites and doing it for hours.
and ribbon dancer? basically a long ribbon attatched to a pole but it was all about elegant dancing with it. oh soooo much fun. i used to steal my lil sisters to play with them.
i wasn't allowed to have ribbon dancer but we had it in gym. we used to get into skip it together (me and my best friend) because we were skinny like somalians.
speaking of legos.. i bought some during the big kaybee scam of 30% and just sunday.. finally put it together
omb... so today in homeroom we started talking about Polly Pockets.. REMEMBER THOSE? they were the BESTEST!
I have soooo many of those. Poly Pocket Water Park? Yeah..best thing ever.
my favorite toys as a kid: lite bright, legos, lincoln logs, and my favorite.... good old fashioned BLOCKS
legos definitely rule. i had so many of them.
they just put a lego store in the paramus park mall
wow, that's interesting. an entire store dedicated to legos?
yes and it's really bright in there
haha, and Brightness Counts!
bright and shiiiiny
There's actually a Legoland down in Del Mar in San Diego County. (Yeah, a whole theme park.) I don't know why I never went when I lived near there, though, since I absolutely love Legos.
I went to Legoland Denmark when I was like 12 or so. They had a whole working city built out of legos. So awesome.
Ian, remeber when I'd go to your house and steal your legos?
haha yeahhh.... wait, WHAT?!
nothing, uh nevermind
i went to legoland in london. it is near buckingham palace. they had like, lego go-carts and stuff - it was like sesame place made out of legos. i got a lego land shirt and an x-wing for this kid in my hall who was like 8, and brought it to him.
the next week he's out in service, and they ask at the group who had any good experiences, and he stands up, and raises his hand and says "my friend dan who lives in england came here and brought me THIS SHIRT! (and proceeds to rip of his jacket). AND THAT, is my GOOD EXPERIENCE," he says, as he sits down.
is it only in london because my friends in denmark used to send me things from a legoland...

wow man am i tired
I have alwasy wanted, and still want, an easy bake oven.
OHHH me too!!! When I get married, that lil puppy is going on the registry.
remember popples? http://www.lavendersea.net/popples/
I never had one but I always thought they were cool
yeah! my brother and i would always play soccer in the living room with them and get in trouble
i have a popple pillow case from a million years ago
i had a strawberry shortcake pillow case
We still have our strawberry shortcake bike! With the banana seat
go talk to summer guys
i have the baby mupppet sheets.
you still have those?? i had cabbage patch kid sheets
i always wanted those. but our sheets don't feel so nice against the skin cuz they've been washed so many times but i still use them now and again.
yea our cbk's were fleece
i had "pretty bit"!!
barbies and my little ponies were very awesome. oh oh, and legos! I loved the castle sets the most, with all the knights!
i also used to love playing with littlest pet shop and quintuplets, and i had these horses that liz and i used to play with all the time. My horse was named Scotch. Haha, young irish lassies.
OHHH I had the littlest pet shop and quintuplets!!!! What a great idea, five babies.
man, that would stink to have 5 babies for real. Some chinese man at my school once told me i was gonna have twins, that'd be hard enough
I really want twins..but I don't want to think about how that chinese MAN was having twins.
no no, he told me I was having twins
Oh Wow totally read that wrong!
is this the toy where it's like a soft dog and then there's a hole in its stomach and it comes with babies and then you can put the puppies back in the hole for travel conviencance? i have one of those. but i think just the triplets.
YES! it had velcro to hold the stomach together! my best friend had a dog one AND a cat one!
yes!!!! we had a pink one that my uncle gave me from years ago. it was crazy but i remember thinking how easy it is for dogs to give birth.
There's something a little disturbing about this image...
this is such a christmas wish list. cmon
HAHAHHA some of my friends were sitting in my basement last night playing operation...they found it on my shelf, looked at me, and said "does that have batteries in it?" i'm like..yo the last time i played that i was 8...how should i know...but it did, for some reason.
also...i want to have a lot of people over (ok, 3 other people, really) and play hungry hungry hippos...i no longer own this but it would be awesome
everyone who's been to my room knows i have a buzz lightyear with anti-gravity boots and utility belt from Toy Story 2...and also a Tickle Me Cookie Monster that I used in 12th grade when we had to carry a baby aroudn for a week for health class.
Hungry Hippos always turned into a violent game at my house. Especially if I didn't get the pink hippo.
wow. brian, did you catch that? (i say this becuase it will take you longer to find this comment than it will for ian to find the comment you made about his car)
i have hungry hungry hippos still....i like the pink one the best...i think some marbles may be missing
your buzz is the coolest....you have that thing in the basement that talks too....i cant remember what it is at the moment though....but buzz is the coolest....hey, maybe he was the one who lost his socks...........
do you mean my ET Furby?? he knows a lot of phrases and whatnot. although steve hid him in my bathroom cabinet, and his batteries died while he was in there, because he was awake at the time. now his eyes are open, and his batteries are dead. *sniff*
HAHA i remember that day! i was so happy to play operation then the batteries were non-existent so we settled for Candy Land hahaa good times goo times
wait, how is this possible...this happened last night...and you were not at my house last night...hmm weird.
i was talking about the day of thje first manhunt! remember? me,bry and danielle got there like 2 hours before everyone else...
oh yes. obviously "come at 7:30" meant "come at 5:45" to certain people. who knows why.
does anyone know who's sleeping with who?
