Accomplishment Time always updating...

juicymango by juicymangoOG 2003 · Dec 29, 2003 · 127 views

I've been quite pensive lately. I feel like I've been too lazy, addicted to TV, and basically a big retart this year. I mean I just feel like I haven't accomplished enough. Sure, in the past 12 months, I've kept up a tidy apartment, a successful and happy marriage, I've learned to cook some new things, and have been regular at meetings and field service blah blah blah blah isn't that just regular stuff you're supposed to do anyway?? Yeah I think so.

I'm gonna be 25 in a few months and when I look back... I've accomplished not so much in life.. I mean I guess a couple things kinda stand out but.. i duno it's just not enough.

So this year I wanna ACCOMPLISH stuff. Not really anything that's gonna make me any cooler haha or anything that will get me noticed or .. famous.. or anything. Just stuff that I can look back on and think to myself, yes, I did that. I actually DID something. Even if it means nothing to anyone other than me.

So my goals.. for this year.. in no particular order whatsoever

- spend a lot more time in service, improve my ministry and be always better prepared for meetings
- read more of the society's literature... like all those mags and books that have been sitting there heh
- get back to being super dedicated and regular at the gym and STICK with it. NO MORE DONUTS! haha
- get back into my writing. I want to get published again, and I'm going to work harder at it
- do more with my photography, get a website started, maybe work with a photographer.. etc.
- explore more stuff, just in general, do more exploring, adventures and quests even if they're completely stupid, as long as I can learn SOMETHING from it, hehe.
- stop wasting time on stupid stuff like watching TV and doing absolutely nothing that accomplishes anything
- make more weird videos and take more pictures at all times
- PLAYYYY MORE!! i wanna be a kid again, i need some kid games and stuff liek water guns to chase people around with
- learn Photoshop

I've kinda started this new "accomplishment" obsession this past week and I already kinda feel better about life in general. It's good.

What have you accomplished in 2003? What are your goals for the upcoming year??? Maybe I can get some more ideas for accomplishments.

1) fly an airplane-- (i was told by luke that this was the scariest thing he'd ever heard of b/c me driving a car is scary enough.

2) eat at GyroBob's---- i've lived here for maybe 10 years and every single day have passed this place on rt. 206 but have never eaten there so i'm gonna do it soon.

3)attend charm school--- i think it'd be fun to know exactly how you're supposed to act in situations.

4)visit the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)---- i've always wanted to do this and there's no time like the present. so gorgeous.

5) own a chaz guest painting.---i can't decide which one i want to buy but i love billie's trio. he's just such an amazing painter. unlike a lot of art nowadays and i love hiim.

6) get my motorcycle liscense--so much fun really excited about this one cuz its tons easier that the airplane. can't wait for it.

I always make a list this time of year. It really isn't a list of "New Year's Resolutions." I just really like to make lists. You start off with a brand new calendar that you can fill up with worthwhile things. This is my list:
-Do more than superficial studying for the meetings
-Start a Bible Study
-Read a bit of the Bible every day
-Increase my share in the ministry
-Budget my money better, put some away in savings
-Eat Healthier
-Work out a regular exercise routine
-Become less of a compulsive buyer
-Become better at keeping in touch with friends
-Work out a schedule where I will spend less time online, and more time doing the things I should be
-Study a new topic of interest on my own
-Get into B&W photography again
-Save for a more reliable car
-Auxillary pioneer at least twice this year
