Insomnia
I just a couple of weeks ago quit my job working at 2:00 in the morning and now I just can't sleep at night. Anybody else have Insomnia? What do you do to try and get yourself to fall asleep?

This guy I know, Dave, has the same problem. He likes to go to bars and make fun of drunk people on the street. I don't know if that'll work for you though...
we actually saw him on the street. but he wasn't making fun of anyone.. he was actually on the phone.. with his rugged hat. he was nice.
I love to sleep. I can sleep anytime, anywhere!
Yeah I know I've seen you. I used to be able to do that to of course that was before I started working nights.
LOL I'm the same way! My fav....NAPTIME! LOL
Do you drink or eat a lot of caffeine during the day? I don't consume caffeine after 2 in the afternoon, and that ussually helps me sleep better.
Actually I'm not supposed to have caffiene at all so I stay away from it. It's mainly because I worked at 2am for 2 and a half years so I got used to being up at that time and sleeping during the day.
I can't sleep and my trash-degree doctor won't give me pills.
i've been on sleeping pills for about 5 years now... can't sleep with out them..
try taking a good dose of calcuim a little while before bed. it really does help. most of the time anyway
i never have calcium.. i haven't had milk since i was about 3.. my doctor tried to put me on calcium pills... but they were too big so i didn't ever take them haha
well it has to be better for you than sleeping pills...
have any osteoporosis in your family?
yea. 2
bad history of it. that's the only reason my nana died. she was 94. mel should start taking some because she doesn't have enough calcium in her diet.
i don't think i have any calcuim in my diet... i mean, is their calcuim in burger king? wendys? bagels? haha cuz thats all i eat.... the pills were too big tho... i couldn't take 'em... plus, i'm on enough medication as it is.. i don't need any more
eat the chocolate calcium chews mom has. they are good.
Unless they've started making them better those things used to be nasty.
I take clacium before I go to bed and I also take Melatonin sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't.
Melatonin is a good natural alternative to sleeping pills and seems to work for most people since it naturally in your body when you sleep anyway.
I can't sleep at night.
i have trouble sleeping at night. i don't know how to make myself go to sleep. i think it might be that my computer is in my room and i don't associate this space as one for sleep. because i can crash out on the couch in a few minutes, something hard to do when i'm in my room. but when i finally get my regular schedule going again i'm sure i won't have any issues sleeping at night. hopefully. worst comes to worst, i'll have someone come in to beat me unconcious and set my alarm clock each night.
I've tried that you tend to either beat me up to much or to little so wake up to soon or to late. On top of that they always set my alarm clock for the wrong time. Bah. There must be another solution.
