Pizza Hut

tesoro by tesoroOG 2001 · Jun 16, 2005 · 294 views

So, the other day, Austin & I had lunch at Pizza Hut. We got an order of breadsticks..and he starts RAVING about the breadsticks. He says they are the best he's ever eaten, and they are the best in the world. Now, I agreed, that yes, they ARE really good breadsticks and even admitted they are the best that *I* have ever tried. However, I am fully convinced that SOMEWHERE out there...saaaaaaay...in Mamma Luciana's kitchen in Italy...SHE makes a better breadstick. So, the two of us got into an all out war...we had other customers and some waitresses involved. (Plus, we both phoned a friend, Tina agreed with ME!)I just think that theres no way a fast food/mass producing chain can have the best ANYTHING. So we have been posing this question to everyone. So now, your thoughts eZabel....

Is Pizza Hut the master of the breadstick?

Have you ever had better?

Is there better out there?

Oh, I'm Ross, I'm too good for the Hut.

hunkpapap #13 hunkpapapOG 2003

ok i heard that pizza hut recycles all the old pizza and breadsticks from plates and puts them into the breadstick maker..

socalgal #13.1 socalgalOG 2003

it sure tastes like they do and they drench it in oil to mask the recycled taste.

juicymango #12 juicymangoOG 2003

I remember when I went to Rutgers in New Brunswick and at the student lounge they had a mini Pizza Hut, I used to get their breadsticks like every day between classes, it was perfection. And sometimes I would get the breadsticks and then go up where they had couches and a TV in the lounge and watch soap operas, lol. And sometimes I would get the breadsticks and listen to jazz in the cafe. Oh man those were good times.

juicymango #12.1.1 juicymangoOG 2003

While on the subject of pizza: What's your record for most slices of (normal-sized) pizza consumed at one sitting?

tesoro #11.1 tesoroOG 2001

four.......blah!

flomojopoanode #11.1.1 flomojopoanodeFounder

that's not bad! Pretty impressive!

I've definitely had 4, and maybe 5 slices once.

flomojopoanode #11.2 flomojopoanodeFounder

I knew a girl in 8th grade --not a very big girl, at all--who ate 8 slices, a whole large pie, one sitting!

tesoro #11.2.1 tesoroOG 2001

I like their breadsticks a lot!

Near the end of my high school days, we had a class outting, and we had Pizza Hutt Lunch Buffet. Needless to say, we all pigged out. It was soooooooooooooo good.

originalsnob #10.1 originalsnobOG 2004

thatdarngirl #10.2 thatdarngirlOG 2002

Every year after my French Final we would walk down to Pizza Hutt to get the Buffet. Good times.

socalgal #9 socalgalOG 2003

Surprising, but true... I actually managed to find good Italian food in SF recently, too.

socalgal #9.1.2.1 socalgalOG 2003

isn't there a little italy type town near SF??

D
dgiaimoOG 2003

Hmm... not sure.. Are you talking about in the city, or some neighborhood on the peninsula, maybe??

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

i thought i heard it was in the city. like a small portion. i haven't been to SF in so long.....

fivezero #8 fivezeroOG 2003

I don't like Pizza Hut. Bleh. Gimme Papa John's thin crust.

specialk #7 specialkOG 2003

I love me some Pizza Hut....but I love LaRosas's even MORE!!!!

web-toedchloe #6 web-toedchloeOG 2001

God, I hate Pizza Hut. I'm so against all those crappy italian franchises. Deeply against them.

thatdarngirl #5 thatdarngirlOG 2002

Pizza Hut has the best breadsticks ever. I could eat them as a meal every day with their yummy sauce.

rocksupastar #4 rocksupastarFounder

Katie LOVES pizza hut... eh, i never really got into it.. its ok... but if my grandmother ever saw me eating there, i think she would hit me upside the head with a rolling pin....

malibu #3 malibuOG 2001

we went to olive garden the other day and while i didnt expect it to be so wonderful and as good as my families sauce. but i did not expect the eggplant parmagnia to taste like something a cat could poop. it was horrible and the marinara sauce was like "hey lemme pour some tomatoes on that pasta."

malibu #3.1 malibuOG 2001

but the point of this comment was to say that the only thing that redeemed olive garden was how good the breadsticks were. yummy.

forrestina #2 forrestinaOG 2002

Pizza Hut has the best greasy breadsticks and tomato pasty sauce i've ever had. mel and i made friends with a waiter at PH so we could get extra sauce for free.

forrestina #1 forrestinaOG 2002

"I think Pizza Hut is the cockiest pizza chain on the planet, because Pizza Hut will accept all competitors' coupons. That makes me wish I had my own pizza place. "Mitch's Pizzaria... This week's coupon: unlimited free pizza. Special Note: coupon not good at any of the Mitch's Pizza locations. Free pizza oven with purchase of a small Coke. Two-for Tuesday: buy one pizza, get one franchise free."

tesoro #1.1 tesoroOG 2001

hahaha, i'm so excited you introduced mitch to us. he's sooo hilarious.

malibu #1.2 malibuOG 2001

NO WAY!!! i was totally about to type this.!!!!!! as soon as i saw the title of this tread it is the first thing i thought of.
