I figured this should be in the food forum...because if it wasnt for food...I wouldn't have to diet. haha
Dieting is SO difficult. This is my second day...and I feel like..WOW, I am doing SO good.Then I realize...it's only the second day and its HARD already! I hate dieting. And I only like doing fun exercise...like volleyball or rock climbing..and how often do you get to do that? grrr anyone have any tips or motivation for me?
The diet I'm doing is pretty much just...having a slim fast shake for breakfast and/or lunch...and just eating lowfat/healthy food. Basically, just what everyone is always supposed to do..but I, personally, do not. Oh, and no eating after 7pm, only healthy snacks and no junkfood.
My goal is to lose 20lbs...right now I am the average weight for my height...I am just at the high end of average and I'd like to be on the low end! haha
Anyone want to diet with me?!?!

The best diet for me is the baby diet. I just eat a ton of babies. And only babies. Sometimes I'm rockin out on my Nintendo gamecube and I'm like "oh man snack time" I hit that pause button so quick and go to the fridge and get me a big baby. Then it's great to wash that baby down with some apple juice or water. Ah, that was refreshing. Back to game. UNPAUSE. Bewww bewww, kssshhhh bewwww. WIN GAME. All because I ate babies. Babies make me strong, ton's of calcium and vitamin C.

haha true...i had a friend do that...ICK! but doesnt it just get rid of the stuff on the inside..why would that make you look thinner?
we should make a pact not to eat sweets/junk food and it's so easy to get trim when you stay away from ALL bad foods
you don't even really need to make that many changes in your diet just STAY AWAY from the bad stuff
and 1/2 hour of exercise i hear is enough to get going

haha, yea, it's not hard to TALK about...DOING though. there seems like theres never enough time in the day. get home from work..@ 5:30.make dinner..out of the house by 7 to go to meeting.
i can't stay away from sweets! i could live off of sweets adn forgo food!
how about if we get the low sugar, fat free kind of sweets? but like only for a "cheat" point during the day.
NO eating past 7....that should be our last call.

i just had a revelation..what i think us girls (and guys) who want to lose weight should do...we should post everyday what we eat...and what exercise we have done for the day. AND WE HAVE TO BE HONEST. this way, we can EMBARRESS ourselves into it...cuz no one wants to say they ate a family for 4 meal at KFC by themselves. What do you guys think?

However this is what I have found. I used to be in great shape, of course I didn't think so at the time but looking back on pictures from like 3-5 years ago i'm like, holy crap i wish i looked like that right now. And you know what the difference is??
Back then I worked out constantly, I was single, had less responsibility, didn't have a husband whose schedule you kinda have to work around, and I worked out all the time because I liked it, it felt good, and I wanted to look and be "strong"
I ate anything I wanted and didn't care about weight
NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW i am trying to lose weight and it's impossible, it's impossible to stick to a diet, it's just impossible. I'm trying again though, just kind of eating low-everything, lol.. low-carb, low-fat, low-calorie = basically salads all day and making my meals smaller as the day goes on, like for breakfast I'll have an egg sandwich but I wouldn't have something high-fat like that for dinner, etc.
And staying away from sweets... man chocolate KILLS ME
SO... in conclusion of this essay I am again focusing on working out because I WANT TO and to just try to be tone and strong. And the weight loss will come naturally. HOPEFULLY.
I'm way too obsessed with losing weight, makes me stressed out, and makes me gain weight basically.

I know just what you mean about looking back on pics....like 3 years ago i was a size 7...and didnt think i was skinny...now i'm like an 11 or 13..and i just WISH i was a size 7 again!

basically being married makes you fat i think haha... also he loves going to the gym in the morning, i love going at night. He hates going at night,i hate going in the morning. Solution - we never go.

being married def. made me fat(er) haha...but i've realized why...1st..cuz Austin has always been used to going out to eat a lot...i never did all that much..so i go out to eat more than i did...and thats always more fatty..second...for the first few months of marriage...i wasn't too concerned about the healthy aspect of food..basically just because i wanted to impress him..and wanted him to like it..so fatty stuff ruled.
and now, i have gained between 7-10lbs since being a wifey. grrr
also when you're not married you don't have to worry so much about making food all the time, I lived on my own for almost three years I never made "DINNER" for myself it was like, a smoothie or a salad and I was good to go. Now it's like I actually ahve to cook meals and that makes you fatty.

Donovan and I have been trying to lose weight together. Before it got ungodly hot outside, we were biking together after dinner every night.
It helps to plan what you're going to make for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and only buy a few snacks at the grocery store. Don't deprive yourself, cuz then you'll binge. I've just been having a scoop of ice cream instead of a whole bowl.
Finally, we bought a scale and have been weighing ourselves every morning. It's great to see how you're doing that often so you can tell the days that you overate.
I have come to the conclusion that I cannot have junk food in the house, I have no self control!! If I have a pint of ice cream, i'm gonna eat it all in one sitting. Bar of chocolate - in my belly before you can say willy wonka.
at this rate i'm gonna be 300 pounds before i turn 30, and i don't really want that to happen

my eating habits have not changed though. i watch what i eat, like chicken, veggies, no or low sugar, things under x amount of fat, carbs etc. it's insane. i wish i had a personal chef!
