Mallomars

They have to be the greatest cookie ever invented. That silky, rich, smooth chocolate exterior, covering a crunchy cookie and a perfectly gooey marshmallow. How could you not love them? And to add to their appeal, they must be the only cookie that disappears during the summer. It's all about creating that anticipation, as the desire to pop one in your mouth, builds up all summer long.

And, they taste great with milk

first you take the mallow.
then you put it in the fire
when the mallows flamin
you put it in the gram with the choclate and then you eat.

does saying mallow annoy anyone here? because for some reason it bugs lots of people and i'm still trying to figure out why.

one word on mallomars: ew

if a cookie disappears during the summer, it's usually cause they get ruined if they get too warm and they can't successfully sell them if they're ruined.

Can these things also be called pinwheels?? (they sound similar) Cuz I remember going to the store to get pinwheels after the meeting and watching MASH with my Dad.

I HATE marshmallows. I hate the sound of them. I hate the taste of them. I had the feel of them. The only time I will eat them is if they are an ingredient in something (i.e. fudge).

tinser #1.1 tinserOG 2002

are you kidding!?! see, that's what i thought...i thought there were people out there that hated them as much as i love them. They are so crunchy and perfect though...and the aftertaste.....yum, i wish i had some right now...it makes me mouth water, talking about them

iwz #1.1.1 iwz

she was talking about marshmallows in general, not mallomars. in my book marshmallows are good, mallomars are gross.

thatdarngirl #1.1.1.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

I agree. Marshmellows are yummy and mallomars are gee-ross and make your mouth all dry and are way to chewwy.

tinser #1.1.1.2 tinserOG 2002

oops, i misread it

forrestina #1.1.1.3 forrestinaOG 2002

iwz iwz

i know, i was saying my preference

tinser tinserOG 2002

oddly enough, i hate marshmallows, but love mallomars

tesoro #1.2 tesoroOG 2001

i dont really like marshmellows raw...but i love roasted marshmellows over a campfire! or..rice crispie treats.

tinser #1.2.1 tinserOG 2002

i love making smores...i just don't like eating them...but i still think they are such a great idea...there is something magical about smores

malibu #1.2.1.1 malibuOG 2001

i know many people like this. i don't understand it. if you're gonna make it, why aren't you gonna eat it? its not like if you're not toastin a mallow we're gonna kick you away from the fire.

thatdarngirl #1.2.1.2 thatdarngirlOG 2002

Smores make me sick. Too sweet. But roasted marshmellows are delightfull
