by So, I just finished reading this the other day, it took me a while because it's 500+ pages and I've been busy with school, but it was worth it. It has everything you could want: romance, betrayal, murder, etc. The end disapointed me a bit and it was actually just really sad all around, definetly worth reading though!

Yeah, i've always been in love with this story. I remember reading it a while ago, it was a shorter version i think.... but i love how he trains and becomes a count so wealthy from nothing. it was great. I think the movie didi a pretty good job portraying all the aspects of the book you mentioned
I haven't watched it yet but I think I'm gonna rent it for this weekend.
