it's so much greater when the team you love overcomes incredible odds to win. if the giants had beaten the chargers in the superbowl it still would have been awesome, but the fact that they went through the cowboys and packers, and then beat what would have been known as the "greatest team in nfl history" ... wow.... what a feeling
Yeah, definitely a Cinderella season for the Giants.
you've made a hard-won triumph sound as gay as richard simmons. way to go.
I heard you were his stunt double in the Superbowl commercial he did...
lol... in that commercial i was hoping the guy would just smile, downshift, and run him over!
if i had gone that way. . . . that would have gone down as the most awesomely awful and hilarious commercial ever produced.
just goes to show you that you cant count on how the season goes cause you can lose it all when it really counts. such an amazing game!
something i just realized....ruben droughns, he's an anaheim high alumni. he was a few years younger than i tho. so awesome.
In all sports it doesn't matter who does well during the regualar season. A low seed team could get hot in the playoffs and conceivably beat anyone. The 2006 Cardinals won the World Series with an 83-79 regular season record. That's almost unheard of.
CHAMPS!!!!!!!!
"And you've got to believe that Tynes will not have a lot of confidence after missing those field goals..."
yeah take that NY hater joe suck!
i hate aikman and joe buck!! but no matter because the GIANTS WIN!!!
Joe Buck sucks big time. He does the World Series with Tim McCarver and I can't stand either of them.
This should be a good game. I actually look forward to it.
Football is the devil. Discuss.
Foosball
I always invite people to Super Bowl... so I'm extending the invitation here... If anyone would like, I'll be at McMenamin's Tavern (great place) on Germantown Ave. in NE Philly (West Mt. Airy / Chestnut Hill area) with some friends. You're welcome to join us. Usually 10 - 12 beers on tap, including domestics, locals like Rogue, Flying Fish, Magic Hat, & imports including rare imports & always tasty ever-changing microbrews, and a bottle selection. Also, cocktails, wines, wings and great food menu. Ask me for more details if you're interested in coming.
Wow... that awesome Sanders run against the cowboys is shown in real time at 1:15 in this video. it's so crazy how fast he is. Also check out 2:34 with the chinese commentators. that run is sick. Also packers run at 5:38.
and those highlights of barry are insane... that guy was a freak! his legs just didn't stop!
I am SO amped for the superbowl!! GO GIANTS!!!!!!
i just read this about barry sanders on wikipedia:
Sanders played for the Oklahoma State Cowboys from 1986 to 1988, and wore the number 21. During his first two years, he backed up All-American Thurman Thomas. Thomas moved on to the NFL, and Sanders became the starter for his junior year.
In 1988, in what has been called the greatest season in college football history,[1] Sanders led the nation by averaging 7.6 yards per carry and over 200 yards per game, including rushing for over 300 yards in four games. He set college football season records with 2,628 yards rushing, 3,249 total yards, 234 points, 39 touchdowns, of which 37 were rushing (also a record), 5 consecutive 200 yard games, scored at least 2 touchdowns in 11 consecutive games, and 9 times he scored at least 3 touchdowns. Sanders also ran for 222 yards and 5 touchdowns in his three quarters of action in the Holiday Bowl - a game that was not included with his season statistics.[2] Sanders won the Heisman Trophy as the season's most outstanding player.[3]
HOLY CRAP!!!
*go giants!*
oooh did you get the video of jacobs throwing the ball at the time clock on here?
I love the 4 seconds of awkward silence after it happens... they were thinking- "DId he just do that?"
haha... in the game when it happened you could hear the official say "Don't do that again!!"
lol, after he does it he's like, "now give me that ball back before i rip your head off!!"
holy crap. he has sickkk feet.
jp where are all the highlights of the local games, something like luke punching quarterbacks in the face, burt wrecklessly breaking more of his hips
hahaha...that would be fun right? who can we get to videotape the games?
I dont care who films it as long as this guy reviews it
