by In an brief interview recently, Minnie Driver mentioned transitioning into music.
Personally, all this Minnie Driver + Music sounded very generic...it's become the thing to do industry crossovers.
As often as these crossovers equal career suicide minus a few unforeseen triumphs...I was skeptical. Tonight while watching a show, I heard this great track playing. The style? Somewhere between Sarah Mclaughlin & Dido (in my opinion) two amazingly talented female solo artists.
Very much to my suprise, following the show it presented "Tonight's show featured music from Minnie Driver."

J-Lo. She's a WAY better actress than a musical entertainer. I actually am disappointed because she'll never get back to where she was in movies. 'Out of Sight', 'the Cell', even the chick-empowerment flick 'Enough.' Now, no serious director will giver her the time of day. Oh, well.

Dancing isn't what she's getting paid the big bucks for [she made squat as a fly girl], so that's not something she could or would focus on exclusively. I like the way she acts. She's got a nice sensibility and expressive features. She could have been a real contender.

the cell was so disturbing, hahha.. it's on like USA Or whatever all the time and whenever i catch it i watch it and then i'm liek .. thoroughly disturbed. But i like it. And Vincent Donofrio! Love him in Law and Order, so creepy in that movie!!!
