Music Therapy
I am going to compile a cd for a friend of mine who is going through a lot. She needs to get the anger and hurt out - I suggested a cd devoted solely to just that... but i need some help.
What are the therapy songs of your life & what do they mean to you?
One of my all time songs to scream and drive too -- The Bike Scene: Taking Back Sunday.

for some good "i want to rip your head off-i hope you die" kind of music, "step into the sideshow"-40 Below Summer is make-your-head-explode screaming goodness.
Also good, but not as screaming-"Tear up this Love" & "Shadow" by Finger Eleven
Another good song in the same vein is Siberian Kiss by Glassjaw. THAT dude has real deep-seated emotional problems.
Sounds hot, I am so up for this genre right now!
Oasis - Stay Young
For when I need to feel like nobody and nothing can hold me down.
hmmm....
Face to Face : You Lied
Face to Face : A-OK
Face to Face : It's Not Over
Face to Face : You've Done Nothing
Goldfinger : Get Away
Millencolin : Stop To Think (great breakup song... lol)
Brand New : Seventy Times 7
Any Fall Out Boy Album, lol
Face to Face : Big Choice, the entire album... amazing... i loved every song it was something i listened to when i was going through alot as a teenager. Goldfinger : Stomping Grounds also got me through alot too. Pennywise : Full Circle was another good one.
Depending on what shes going through, different albums would be good.
I think the whole "" thing became obsolete with copy&paste.

Go walk yourself home
go play in traffic blindfolded!
Queens of the Stone Age - Sky is Falling
this song has always made me happy. awesome straight-forward fuzz rock song. can't go wrong.
"The sky is falling
Human race that we run
It left me crawling
Staring straight at the sun
Only a moment I notice
Every dog has his day
I paid attention
Cost me so much to today
For so long
I saw only wrong
But now to remind
It's a waste of time
Close your eyes and see the skies are falling
I wanted something
Nothing blank I don't know
It's all deflecting
Stones are easy to throw
Only a moment I notice
Hours, days left behind
Of wasted, useless
Selfless, none of a kind
For so long
I saw only wrong
But now to remind
Not to go back to the low
That has drained my life so low
That has drained my life so low
That has drained my life so low
Close your eyes and see the skies are falling"
Radiohead's OK Computer was my CD of choice back in the day
pretty much anything by Fiona Apple
on the mellower side, i always like "one starry night" by shades apart. it was always so soothing and hopeful to me.
The ultimate bad mood song: "One of my Turns" - Pink Floyd.
I used to rage to that when I was 15 and angry at the world.
Ooh, it's in my head now. It starts off slow and orchestral, then the lyrics say: "I can feel one of my turns coming on. I feel cold as a razor blade, tight as a tourniquet, dry as a funeral drum... (crescendo into major guitars and drums, screaming lyrics)... Walk to the bedroom in the suitcase on the left, you'll find my favorite ax... don't look so frightened, this is just a passing phase, one of my bad days."
In the movie, The Wall, it's the point where the main character calmly gets out of bed and smashes his room to peices as his girlfriend hides in horror.
Fuel: Shimmer (She calls me from the cold, just when i was low and feeling short of stable)
D/C: Screaming Infidelities
Sugarcult: The way (pretty soon you'll figure out, you can never get him out of your head)
Greenwheel: Breathe (longing for home again, and home, is a feeling i've buried in you)
Oasis: It's good to be free
BTE: Live Again (this one really helps, hold me, hurt me make me live again, i need you around)
MB 20: hand me down (i think that's the name)
