i like smoke, finally a song by dan that isnt about babies or some wierd garbage
wow this band is still around, it's amazing
was a fan itially with GD when they were still playing small shows, that was some intense stuff, really insane drumming with the original drummer. started to get sick of them, especially after going to shows with too many emo kids crying at the shows really ruined it for me
but thsi new crimson is interesting, i like it
and the bassist dan, got way better at keyboards, if anyone knows what im talking about
nope haven't heard it yet. i didn't like the last one too much so i'm holding out on hearing this one.
the last one was really dark, but i still liked it. "all on black" is one of my favorite songs right now
dark doesn't bother me. it was just kinda ghey to me. you all seem to be talking this one up tho. hmm maybe i should check it out...
WOW. is all i have to say. personally, I was blown away, and so far, it's the album of 2005 so far in my opinion. I've liked Alkaline Trio for a while, and my enjoyment of them has a limit. I've always liked them, but they've never been inspiring enough to me to listen to nonstop for weeks. They have had a lot of appeal, but never really grabbed me. Some favorites are Stupid Kid, Every Thug Needs a Lady, and I Lied My Face Off.
Probably, my love of the new album is due to my heavy emphasis on the harmony and melodic sounds. I love bands that synchronize perfectly and have that awesome sound that clicks together. Not that I don't like raw early music, but I love the polished product with the awesome flow from verse to verse, song to song. Call me cheesy, but the cohesiveness and melody is very important in my listening. Everything comes together in Crimson. The album attacks you from start to finish, leaving you with intense tunes blasting in your head.
This is what caused me to download it from the FTP, and then, even though I already had the album on my computer, to buy it when it came out today anyway just to have the hard copy and the pure sound from an album. Because this album must be appreciated with good sound quality and at loud volumes.
Favorite track is Time To Waste.
Buy it.
yeah i love it too
hahaha ok, well funky was right... im listneing to it again, im getting more into it, im rocking it out with both headphones on... soo much better. im still liking "Back to Hell" as my fav....
my favs right now are:
Time to waste (i love the piano intro into the hard rockin part of the song)
Burn (I love the way the song begins with the drums and bass)
Back to Hell (i love the first line of lyrics)
Deathbed (this song caught my interest right away)
this album grows on you over time. it's definitely not as raw as some of their older albums, but some of the songs have some really awesome awesome stuff on them. give it a few listens
yeah, DEF not as raw... lot more harmony with the singing, but thats pretty cool i like the sound, def a cd you bump driving late at night during the summer with the windows down...
ill try to give it a few more listens, its in my que for mp3's at work soo...
