Rachel Yamagata-
Elephants ... Teeth Sinking Into Heart
Oct. 7 2008
Was just released August 18th! Cary Brothers-Who You Are
favorite song...Ride
jacks mannequin leaked today. its taking a lot of self control to wait another month until it actually comes out. i kinda wanna wait
OMG when is the new Jack's Mannquin coming out ... STOP MAKING ME WAIT
i bought the new alkaline trio and story of the year. they are are both pretty decent.
'Modern Guilt' - Beck (22 July)
'Forth' - The Verve (25 August)
I don't think this is new but.... Vampire Weekend, I like
also MGMT
MGMT is huge to me. I love Time to Pretend and Kids. Electric Feel is good too.
yeah I LOVE MGMT we are going to see them July 25th in Philly
i wasn't aware of this show, but i will go no matter what, y'know, now that i know about it, lol
have mercy on my soul. Violens is opening for them. I could die.
LESS THAN JAKE TOMORROW YES YES YES!!!
Me and Tina saw them Monday night in baltimore w/ GOLDFINGER, suburban legend & westbound train. Goldfinger of course ruled the night. But all of the bands were great. All four had horns. So much fun!
Me & Tina waited by the tour bus after the show, and got pics w/ all the guys & had our cds signed. I was waiting by my car cuz i was illegally parked and john feldmann walked over to my car w/ Tina. They are always so super nice!
yeah. i think I'm definitely going to Asbury on Sat. night to see them.
anyone hear the new coldplay? thoughts?
the single is crap. i'm dragging my heels.
i havent really heard anything from it. maybe ill pick it up
I am not a Coldplay fan at all but this album has me
maybe i'm getting old
and chris martin is teh sexy (something i also never thought before, weird)
Disappointed about the newest Jack Johnson? Pick up the new Jason Mraz - We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. It's got that summery singer/songwriter appeal that Jack's got but it is a better album.
i wasn't aware of a new one. i will promptly download this now.
here's to hoping for more "geek in the pink" type songs
Anybody have the new Story of the Year?
anybody have any music from Buckethead? I heard some stuff, and it's pretty cool (and weird)
Did anyone get the New Found Glory hits album? I'm really diggin one of the unreleased songs that they included on there. I'm hearing it on the myspace, but if anyones got a d/l :)
dude use audacity and take it from the myspace
i gotta have a computer session with you one day :) haha j/k
haha no seriously, i dont know how to do anything. i am loving the ftp though. thats my comfort zone
oh, btw, this site is cool:
Just put this in the URL:
http://www.myspace.com/newfoundglory
Choose Audio, and agree to the Terms of Service.
Click "Get Files", and you get a nice list of links to download the MP3s.
wow. this looks just my speed. not too complex. ill try it out. thanks
Dude. you are like the father of internet. Nice job
this is crazy great! although it will probably make myspace change their encryption soon
I really like the new No Use album. I might write a little review on it. It's great. Got my copy in the mail monday.
kudos For The Perpetrator who supplies the counting crows and between the trees
i will do the counting crows for you i promise
its already been done! i figured it was you. you should have just nodded and smiled :)
Yeah I just picked up the Counting Crows album the other day, $10 at target. It's good!
And Between the Trees are great! we saw them w/Mae and The Honorary Title and I bought their cd
i've listened through once, i really like it!
i got it... it's pretty good, better than their last, but i'm not liking the way tony sly sings anymore. so whiny
really? i didnt find his voice whiny in this album. this is right up there with more betterness for me
not really for me. more betterness was great, and I liked hard rock bottom a lot too... keep them confused was horrible, and this one is better but it doesn't really make me want to listen to it over and over like those other ones did.
i did buy the new flogging molly...love it
bad religion at the HOB next friday!
haha sorry, wrong forum

goldfinger still rules.
offspring are super-awful.
i admit, i havent heard the offsprings last like 2 or 3 albums. are they no good?
i used to be super into goldfinger like 6 years ago. some might remember the time i got on stage during a performance of superman and then did a running front flip off the stage... but i cooled on them and havent really listened to them in a while. im not as blown away by them as i once was
that's because you're old and enjoy quiet evenings at home with your wife, listening to Jack Johnson and Coldplay and drinking wine while making tacos
oh wait that's me
but i still love Goldfinger shows. You may recall that back in 2001, I was in their tour video for an incredibly stupid stunt that I have since apologized to John Feldman for, personally. It was dumb, and I am not cool.
i dont remember but that was probably in the same year. where is the video of that???
This music seems to have a wonderful influence on you guys. LOL
i was gonna say that sounds an awful lot like you! lol...
i don't want to hear it chuckles
chuckles?? who are you Sawyer??
new flogging molly tomorrow!!!
Coldplay in May
BEASTIESSSSSSS!!!!
i hope there are raps on this one!
Oh man! this new No Use song has me so pumped for the new album.
Its ok.
nice!! it's more like their old stuff. i didn't like their last one at all, i hope this one is more like this song
yeah...its classic fast paced nufan. i really like the album cover too. i cant explain why, maybe i like the idea of laying in a field...
anyone get the new jack johnson yet?
or the new perishers?
yeah i got the new jack johnson. not as good as some of his others (his last one was my favorite - "in between dreams" - NOT the curious george") but it's decent. more mellow, like he's spent a lot of time listening to coldplay.

and my most anticipated of the year...jack's mannequin
more of the same.... zzzz
hey not social d....they just had their greatest hits released.
new tbs, ak3, nufan, ANNNND social D!?!??
oh baby, i can't wait for those!
i believe the TBS is a greatest hits with a couple of new songs, not a full album
Mike Doughty has an album to be released in February 2008 - Golden Delicious. I can not wait! He talks about the album & the "Dude Theory" Read about it here - http://www.mikedoughty.com/news/show/65
this is a new Mars Volta song and video. they have a new album coming out called The Bedlam In Goliath. this song isn't hard to listen to and is for anyone who's ever cracked a smile or said the Mars Volta is aight. this is as close to a pop song as they're going to come, i think. and it's oh so good.
WAX SIMULACRA!
http://video.umrg.com/marsvolta/waxsimulacra_revised/quicktime.asp
Say Anything's new one...got it in the preorder on saturday.
I didn't really like it the first time through disc 1. Now it's definitely growing on me though.
I thought this was a John Cusack movie. LOL
They're also a good Band.
oh thanks
the new jimmy eat world album...
havent listened to anything past the first three songs yet. the first single, big casino, is awesome! i gotta listen to the full album.
seriously...the best driving song. fly down the highway and crank it. terrific lead single. gets me so pumped to see them next month
i like big casino too - i'm working through the album, but there's no "jen" or "pain" or "polaris" that i've found yet
the old album was the best album of 2004, IMHO
best album of 2007 continues to be the newest travis (ok that's my opinion, but still)
IMHO?
in my humble/honest opinion
oops i dont know what happened, i did hit reply! honest!! (thanks though)
I haven't bought the Travis album yet... Still plan to. I've only heard the song "Selfish Jean" off it. Actually I still need to get the album previous to this as well. ahhhhh so much music I need to get caught up with getting.
futures was great. some people didnt like it, i know. i loved it. so far, its better than the new one, although the new one is good.
Soulsavers : It's Not How Far You Fall, It's The Way You Land came out today.
Ween : La Cucaracha next week!
Oh by the way, I recently bought Manic Street Preachers - Send Away The Tigers. Anyone who loves rock & roll will probably love this album. It's great! And, I'm going to their concert on December 12 in Brixton, London @ Carling Brixton Academy!
"You Love Alone Is Not Enough" with guest vocal from The Cardigans chick.... so addictive!
"Autumn Song" so addictive as well!
There's two surprises on this album... They do this one rockabilly sounding song...
&
There's a hidden track on this album - a cover of John Lennon's "Working Class Hero."
Got the new Steel Train. Will listen today and report back!
It's not bad! A bit of a different sound from their last EP. This was obvious when I saw them live. A bunch of the songs have a good sound, and good hooks.
The singer/writer seems to have really been affected by 9/11.
thanks for donating it to me, bud.
they were probably one of the most memorable live bands i've ever seen, and i mean that quite literally. most times, you hear a band play new songs, and then you hear them on the cd a few months later, and you dont really remember them. at least i dont, i need to hear the song a few times to remember it. but these guys, i remember these songs so well. they really worked getting the melodies in my head.
yeah! I agree, I recognized all the songs they played too.
JEW TOMORROW!!
The Master List (if multiple albums on the same day, in order of importance)...
Sept 11 - Kanye West, Nightmare of You EP, Hot Hot Heat
Sept 18 - New Found Glory, Motion City Soundtrack
Oct 2 - Dashboard Confessional
Oct 16 - Jimmy Eat World (Most anticipated?!)
Oct 23 - the day i turn 22 - Say Anything, Angels and Airwaves
Oct 30 - Saves The Day
did anyone get the new dashboard album? any thoughts?
Dashboard is coming out with a new album on october 2nd.
im looking forward to black audio (sp?) side project from lead singer of AFI...all synthesizers...80's style...think depeche mode.
i've been pumping the new against me! album, new wave. get it. its a great one
this is probably my favorite album of the year, so far.
oh i forgot. august...MAE! get it.
Hildago, are you excited about the first new Matchbox 20 album in FIVE years?!
YES. You have no idea. Seeing Rob Thomas was great and all but the audience was more weirder.
NUFAN has a new album called "all the best songs". I think it's out already.
i already have that. it's called my ipod. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I need to get the new Travis : The Boy With No Name - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1OkimjTc-M
(Art - Music - Jaffa Cakes hahhaa) Love that Selfish Jean song. And I miss Travis yet again when they're in New York. ugh!
And The Manics : Send Away The Tigers.. oh man.. I gotta get the new one. Nina Persson from The Cardigans on guest vocals for Your Love Along Is Not Enough. Her voice is so pretty. I'm seriously addicted to this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyrJJxGWQ5g
I have yet to see The Manics live as well. hrmmm
I'm just gonna post the rest in one single comment.
From late September on we got PJ Harvey - "White Chalk," an album release from Múm, Iron & Wine, perhaps a new Animal Collective & new Athlete (come October there's) Stereophonics (Yes!), and Beirut. Some more of the anticipated albums that really interest me: Built To Spill, Isobel Campbell, Ian Brown, Clem Snide, Cursive, The Cure, Dido, Dirty Pretty Things, The Divine Comedy, Doves (Yes!), Franz Ferdinand, Jewel, Stephen Malkmus, Nada Surf, Portishead, Radiohead (Yes!), Sigur Rós (Yes!). Some of them expected this year, some expected in 2008. I'm gonna go broke if I buy everything I want.
I can't believe I'm seeing this... but supposedly Blur and The Breeders will be releasing albums. Wow! Coo!
portishead, niiice.
as for radiohead. they've already peaked. i bet their new album will be just all right.
blur? NICE!!! i cant wait!
Yeh. I hope it's not a cruel joke.
ohhh some old favourites on that list! esp portishead.
Thurston Moore - "Trees Outside The Academy" September 18.
Super Furry Animals - "Hey Venus!" in August/September time.
Okkervil River - "The Stage Names" .. August 7
