The Eagles
The Very Best Of The Eagles
(WSM - 2003)
THE ROLLING STONE REVIEW
Eagles concert tickets may be overpriced, but this best-of -- thirty-three songs on two discs, plus a DVD -- is a bargain. Superseding two established phenomena -- Greatest Hits (at 28 million copies sold, music's all-time best seller) and Greatest Hits Volume 2 (11 million sold) -- The Very Best incorporates every song from both discs and adds thirteen more, arraying them in chronological order. The remastered sound is startlingly crisp, and the hefty booklet includes detailed commentary from band principals Don Henley and Glenn Frey. It's a dream package that unerringly documents Henley and Frey's Eagle-eyed view of the 1970s, from earthly paradise to fast-lane trap. Likewise, the music progresses from soaring country rock to Seventies rock that is, by turns, hard and brooding. One programming quibble: "Hotel California" would have been better positioned leading off the second disc than ending the first.

You got great taste, lol, don't u like Yes and Led Zep too???
Totally! Those are two other greats. I listen to every music except gospel and Eminem.
woah. no hating on the best thing to happen to rap since the Sugar Hill Gang
I didn't say I hate him...I loathe and despise him. He is not allowed to be played in my car.
hmm that sounds like my ban on the dixie chicks and anything involving sean paul or some similar sounding crap reggae
I had those two bans. They have since been lifted.
mine will never be lifted. why must the radio have this fascination with reggae that repeats pointless statements 50,000 times?? thank goodness for "mute".
understandable...why not dixie chicks?
I am so anti-dixie chicks.
yea hes FOUL but i understand him kinda b/c he got beat up alot. I didn't physically, just verbally.
the Dixies are the BEST thing that happened to music in a looooooooong time. Go to a concert. Read thier lyrics, well, most of em. (don't like Earl or Sin Wagon)
