Unknown Love

hunkpapap by hunkpapapOG 2003 · Jul 18, 2004 · 300 views · ·

Ok, so this is my question: Who do you like/love musically that we haven't heard of or don't know about? And what type of music are they and why do you like them? Not who do you like that not a whole lot of people like. If more than five people have heard of them or they are or have been on the radio for some period of time, they don't count.

For example i really like Ryan Adams but when i say that people are shocked and go, "YOU LIKE BRYAN ADAMS?" But no, not that guy. Ryan Adams a man who is a good rock, folk, country, blues type. He released two albums just this year alone. One was all mellow acoustic(one a very good cover of wonderwall) and the other a balls-out rock album.

I also like Josh Joplin, a folk rocker with some real good talent.

Another refinement; Bands i like that do not qualify are Splender and American Pearl. They are good and not very well known but they are somewhat known. So i don't want to hear about jack johnson(good but we all know of him), the music, HUM(bryan, j/k)etc...

Death Cab for Cutie
Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter

both these bands are on the barsuk label. I got into Death Cab and fell in love with their music and discovered Jesse Sykes through an insert in the CD. www.barsuk.com

There's also a band called Iridesense from either Staten Island or Long Island that I really like. I've seen them play a few times and I enjoy them. www.iridesense.com

well he should be but he's not. He's a genius and has some serious stuff. Has some dark undertones sometimes but it's always classic..
